No waste paper basket in room Light switch over bed not within easy reach No chair Light in room not strong enough
Friendly staff,excellent food and service
An extra pillow on the beds would be welcome.
Stayed here on a previous visit to the area. Very helpful staff. As I was to come and go at awkward times they made the stay very easy. The hotel has good access from the main road and good local facilities. Have booked again already for my next stay!
Only thing I can knock is that the hot drinks in the room were not refilled after the first night. But I'd have got them if I asked!
Excellent service and food
The staff very excellent very friendly happy to help you with any query that you had and they made time to chat with you would definitely stay there again
In the morning no one to take your money for the room. I felt there should have been someone on reception at all times as you had to go looking for someone if you required help with anything
very nice big bathroom nice food in restaurant
uncomfortable mattress bedrooms dont match the standard of the bathrooms and are really outdated
The hotel was just perfect for our needs and nicely situated for our journey to Holyhead
the staff and food were very good and easy if your travelling from holyhead to ireland
very old and smells a bit musty because of this.
Staff and food excellent..what more can I say xxx
Nothing..great value for money xx
The staff were very nice ,nothing was too much trouble. Our room comfortable and clean. An altogether enjoyable stay....
Our entertainment it seems was not a consideration, fortunately there was a TV in the bar.
Nice and close location from coming off the ferry. Food was great, bed comfy.
room basic, clean and tidy, convenient to where we needed to be, friendly staff
it is a pub not an hotel. Kitchen extractor fan outside bedroom was noisy. Function room event went on to midnight, rowdy kids out in the garden. bar/lounge not very clean.
Ten minutes from ferry
No hand soap in bathroom. All night noise from kitchen below. Fridges i think. Very loud in room 16.
the staff are brillent
our room was near the kitchen fans which woke us up early
The restranant was good and the food was nice.
Excellent Breakfast, Very Good Food Good Staff Comfy beds
Rooms at front tend to be noisy did"nt bother me as i live on busy road, nothing else to say
Staff really friendly. Rooms clean and water hot
On a crossroads with traffic lights. Rooms small and stuffy, or noisy with windows open. Food rather boring
Value for money, facilities.
Coolness of welcome, noisy room.
The staff were friendly, food was excellent value for money and of good quality. Very busy hotel but was holiday season. Would stay again. Room was small, needs updating but clean.
Easy to find. Olde worlde hotel. Nice bar meals at good times. Good breakfast and lovely staff.
Had rooms 15 and 16 and a generator or something hummed outside the room all night
Had to pay in full on checking in! Obviously expecting complaints. Beds cheap and very poor. Good choice of food but very average quality and mostly frozen or boil in the bag. Dissappointing.
very little, breakfast was ok but you waited a long time
room was like stepping back in time, soap dispenser empty, towel rail fell off wall as soon as touched, bath was repulsive, air-conditioning units went all night (management said they were turned off at midnight but this is not true). There was a disturbance in a nearby room and when my husband went down to reception to report found the main door open at 1am, but no staff. Management blame other residents for the disturbance but we suspect that it was staff as the staff quarters are very close to the rooms where we heard the noise and no one was seen leaving, whereas the staff have a rear exit. Other guests told us their room door had been left open after cleaners had been in. We were given a different room after complaining which was a lot better but this meant packing up twice as we had booked 8 months in advance I don’t know why we had been put in the inferior nosy rooms to start with. Wrote to complain afterwards and although I did get a quick response from Menai Pritchard she virtually denied there was a problem – I suggest she trys sleeping in those rooms herself!
Emailed hotel with regard to supplying cots didn't receive any message back.
Good food and comfortable bedroom.
Service slow in grill but this meant ,presumably, that food was cooked to order. bedroom service was not good as towels were left unfolded on 2 days and floors not cleaned properly. Rather too many non resident bar supporters in eating area most of day a bit off-putting. Convenient to boat OK, but.....! A. Doak.
