Nice clean room with comfortable bed.
Didn't notice any free wifi and parking is a bit far away.
location was spot on, close to train station and shops. Staff very helpful and no rush to get out of rooms in the morning.
Tecno Music that was on that night but really that was just bad luck as other nights the DJ's were more our scene.
The girl who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. There was a small bit of confusion initially as I thought I had prepaid but that was my mistake. She resolved this issue promptly and professionaly. Well impressed.
My only complaint would be about the odour we were met with when we first entered the building, maybe a possible pluming issue. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.
Great location. Entertainment in the pub (so expect some noise).
No parking, but local parking 10mins away
Location Staff Room
Not much parking.
Handy for station and attractions.
Loud music blasting out till early hours.
spacious room friendly accommodating staff comfortable bed clean tidy
we were out on a hen doo so stayed out till approximately 2:30am just in time for the music to have stopped playing in the bar. We were anxious that the music would have kept us up but was pleasantly surprised that the room was quiet and v comfortable.
Check in at the bar where people are squashed trying to get served for drinks. Very loud music from downstairs. You have to cut through the dance floor to access the hotel as there is no separate entrance. Stairs are very creaky and old. Very dusty and damp smelling.
The location is amazing (just 2 mins away from the station and right in the centre) and the room (n.8) was massive.
Excellent hosts, great value for money accommodation right near railway station and some great ales!
Good overnight stay. Close to station.
Very good location and it seemed to be cheap for Shrewsbury
Dim lighting in the room
Nice little room, helpfull and accomodating staff, great location
May be a little noisy for some, but was expected and fine for us
close to shops and bars
music playing till late in the morning
The room temperature was so freezing. There was no heating at all on in the room. The duvets were also very thin. I had to sleep in my coat and socks but still I frozen. Also very thin loo roll so we asked for a spare. We were told that one would be brought up but it wasn't. I'm not too fussy but this was sleeping in a barn, or camping out in winter without a snug sleeping bag.
It was really close to the station, so it was a good springboard to explore the town.
The Yale lock on our door was not secure. We were able to open it by sliding a card between door and frame. There was no mortice lock.
Bed comfy and big.
Stair narrow and steep.was unable to find room 3 & 5. Room very dark and cold. Nasty note left be.cause we turned a switch off. Asked on check in if we could leave case for few hrs on day of leaving but no one there so landed up carrying it around town and leaving keys on table
Near High Street shops. Good sized room.
We stayed on a Saturday night. There was a disco on until 2am which we could hear in our room. To cut out the noise I tried to close the window which was propped open with a piece of wood the window fell on my hand nearly breaking my finger. Little toilet paper in room so I asked for another roll which never appeared. Sink was difficult to use due to its shape and a shelf.
The pub was quiet, due to us staying during the week.
Bit dated, rooms ok but never enough pillows! I was warned by a local that its a "lively" pub at weekends, due to disco's and live bands on Fridays and Saturdays.
Carpet and chairs were worn out and dirty, stairs were narrow and the building was rather smelly.
Clean and nice room Friendly staff Location
No food available
The streets were so crowded we decided to move on immediately & leave Shrewsbury behind .
We liked being in the centre of the town, close to restaurants and cafes. Good value for money - £53, although we did see other nice accommodation close by that had a double room for £60 including a full English breakfast for two!
We had the beer garden right opposite our bedroom window. If it had been open it would have worried me for privacy, and also smoke would have gone through the window, and I like to have a bedroom window open. No food.
Room was exceptional very clean and a good size. please bear in mind that this hotel does not serve breakfast (room only) but there are plenty of places near by that serve food.
No breakfast, can be a little noisey at weekends due to it being a pub with dj's and late closing (2-3am)
