Made feel very welcome Beautiful room Great location
Location,staff and food
Our room was cold and the bathroom uncomfortably cold.We would stay again but only if an electric heater was supplied.
The hotel was clean and tidy with friendly helpful staff. They do have a park further down the road but forgot to tell us.
Wi-Fi in public areas only and not in the rooms its 2015 not the 80's. The restaurant is over priced and the portion size's where small especially if you get a sweet. Their are plenty of other places to eat a short drive away that proved much better value.
The only downside was WiFi wasn't available in the bedrooms
Room a bit chilly, but staff provided a small heater, which was good. Free WiFi in room would be a bonus.
The location was good and the staff helpful and polite .The food was of a good quality.
Our room was dark not a lot of natural light as a double room it was two twin beds pushed together so had a gap down the middle not the most comfortable .The dining room was freezing we had to ask to move tables to be closer to the radiator when we where having a meal .Tried to have a pint and read the papers in the sports bar next to the log fire but had to give up as the smoke from the fire came back into the room rather than up the chimney (needs sweeping) ,No tomato sauce at breakfast on Monday no excuse as the shop was only a stones throw fro the front door . We want be staying at the Victoria Hotel in the future any time soon.
Booked for one night to celebrate my partners birthday. Hotel in excellent location, love Bamburgh. Great value comfy bar very friendly staff.
Comfortable room Quiet Close to the Castle Staff were friendly
The only minor complaint was that it was too hot and we had to wedge the window open as it wouldn't stay open!
centre to everything in the village, very comfy and welcoming,
The area. The room was very comfortable with an excellent view of the castle.
Great location, Clean comfortable room, Wonderful food.
Poor wifi coverage
Staff were lovely and the fire with the leather chairs was so nice after being out walking all day. They allow dogs too which is fab. Bed was really comfy.
For the price you expect the rooms to be super clean. Bedding was clean but bathrooms were in need of a decent once over. Just a bit tatty but you could forgive that for it's charm if it were clean.
Lovely character room really cosy. Gorgeous coast and walks just nearby with Bamburgh castle.
Didn't like pets at the breakfast table. Shower temperamental.
The bed and duvet were amazing slept so well.
The room needed a bit of TLC
Comfortable bed. Spacious superior room. Comfortable guest lounge with a separate bar. Attractive decor.
Smoke alarm going off when got out of shower because extractor fan switched off above the bathroom door. Service for evening meal in restaurant was rushed and braised beef was served almost cold and waitress asked if wanted it heating up in the microwave or a fresh one which would take 12 minutes - not sure how you could braise beef in 12 minutes. Breakfast food wasn't particularly hot either.
Location, bar staff, breakfast staff
Fire Alarm going off at 6.30 pm several times, causing some distress and no reassurance fro the hotel!
Atmosphere, dinner, friendly staff, location on Bamburgh
Breakfast was not great; late in arriving, incinerated kipper and poorly made scrambled egg
Staff were very warm, friendly and very efficient.Hotel was very clean and comfortable.Situated in beautiful location with view of stunning castle. Would definitely recommend the Victoria for a totally relaxing break.
The only thing that could have improved the visit would be an extra easy chair in the bedroom.
friendly restaurant staff
Staff Comfort Food Value for money Location
Poorly behaved dog while trying to eat dinner
the location on the high street with the beautiful view of the castle in front on you.
Friendly staff, great location and tasty breakfast.
