Everything on site,staff,food,location.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The location was good being only .6 of a mile from the town centre and easy walking Easy parking and free wi fi and reasonable priced drinks at the bar made it a good choice for us. Overall very good value.
Not a bad experience but the bed was a bit hard for us, would suit a lot of others so a bit unfair really.
Good food at on site pub restaurant Friendly, helpful staff Clean and comfortable Ample on site parking
Be prepared for a 10 - 15 minute walk into town
Handy to park within walking distance of city centre. Good service and reasonably priced, good value for money. Useful to be able to eat on site.
Very good value for money. comfortable room and good service. Meals excellent value.
The bed was comfy and breakfast was nice
The decor needs updating
Good value carvers and freindly staff
Small room with very noisy loo in room and adjoining
The food was well priced and beautifully cooked.
Not sure if it was just my room (107) but the TV did not receive any of the BBC channels?
The Staff were friendly, caring and attentive. Walking distance to the town - Hotel had a huge car park.Full English Breakfast was excellent.
The mattress was a little soft for me - but it would not stop me going there again!
The beds were very comfortable. The welcome from the receptionist was very friendly.
Good size room with very good bed. Very quiet, but easy walk into centre of Canterbury. Breakfast excellent and staff very good
One minor thing, would be nice to have real coffe eat breakfast
We were upgraded to executive suite with 4 four poster and jacuzzi bath!! Lovely room with air condition. We had a meal which was lovely and great value aswell. I must say the staff are all so friendly and made our stay there fabulous
Very pleased all round. Staff, food, service etc all very good. Thank you Sarah and Simon Smith
The room was warm and clean
The room backed onto a busy road and with no double glazing, it was very noisy hence a bad nights sleep. I asked to move rooms but they didn't move me to a room that didn't back on to the road as requested.
room was large and comfortable. the staff were friendly and helpful. dispite being above the bar and on a busy road the noise was minimal
very friendly staff...just need to be a bit sharper in the bar looked like they had no experience of working there. service in restaurant for breakfast was good and helpful
rooms overlooking the main road and roundabout very noisy from 5am as its the main road to london and alot of traffice on it
Location, Staff, excellent room
If I had one small criticism; the carvery was typical, warm food, tough beef but the gammon was lovely but hey it's a carvery what else would you expect for the money? Plenty of other food available on the menu, if you don't like carvery's!
Very engaging staff. Good restaurant. Excellent breakfast. About 15 minutes walk to the city centre.
The bed I had wasn't great.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very keen and well equipped with bathroom and tea/coffee facilities (biscuits etc). Beds were comfy and modern as was the decor inside the room. Breakfast was excellent. Everything you could think of including smoked salmon, continental cheese and meats as well as all the cereals fruits, toast etc, etc. Good quality too and well cooked. All in all much better than I expected.
The corridors could do with updating, like the rooms but this is just being picky really.
Friendly service at front desk and bar. Very pleasant walk into town.
Free wifi, clean room, good value
It was a really nice place to stay, ideally located for centre and shopping.
If II being really picky, I wrongly assumed that the breakfast would be buffet. It was nice but would have been better if you could help yourself to what you actually wanted. This is not a negative comment, just a suggestion.
Quick walk into the town
Last time I stopped here had a really good experience this time not so. Wifi didn't work in our room and there was a workman working in the room above ours early in the morning in big boots!
The stay was good value and included a great breakfast with a good choice of products from continental to full English breakfast. We loved the 10 minute walk to the West-gate, past St Dunstan's church and interesting houses. Room was clean and comfortable with free wifi and meals were available in the evening.
Only problem was we couldn't find BBC on the TV?
Readiness with which staff allowed us to overstay our time (in lounge) till our family members arrived at 12.00.
