Reception staff were very, very good.!

The bar was too dark and the staff were reluctant to let you sit in the restaurant towards the end of their service just for drinks as this was a more comfortable area.

Tv in room not working. Very limited & slow room service.

Good Decor, good choice and good quality at breakfast, welcoming reception staff. Function we attended was excellently organised and well staffed.

Thought to room allocation if a function is scheduled would be a big plus . If guests are attending a function that evening then allocate them a room over the function rooms, if not then consideration should be given to room allocation on floor 3 or above. Bathroom lighting needs brightening.

Lovely hotel. Great location. The staff are courteous and very helpful. The beds are extremely comfortable.

Having visited the restaurant Several times we decided to stay over on our anniversary. It started well with a very comfortable double room with innovative screens to reduce light and outside noise from the seagulls! The mcgee bar served a great Kir Royal in a relaxed intimate setting. We went to eat a delicious meal served by staff who appeared to care that you enjoyed the experience. Refreshing in today's world.The breakfast buffet meant you could chose not to over indulge after the gourmet dinner the night before. Would I recommend it ?You Bet! Will I be back? Hold me back!!!!

The staff were fantastic & the restaurant was excellent value with a varied menu to suit all. The rooms were lovely too.

The Reception including the valet parking. The politeness of staff

Disappointing gym - no towels or showers available. No drinking water available. Tv in gym in completely the wrong position - you can only view it whilst using the free weights, not while on the treadmill or cross-trainer.

The whole experience from start to finish was top notch. The staff were so friendly, helpful and professional throughout. The room was excellent - huge bed, safe that was laptop friendly and you can charge your laptop in it as well. Bathroom was very modern and very clean. Food in the restaurant was excellent as well and reasonably priced. If you want to spend some time in the Tony McGhee bar no jeans or trainers are allowed so take something smart with you. If you do visit there you could see some footballing celebs. From what I understand it is the best hotel in Southport and that is easy to see. I look forward to being able to go back there soon.

Only criticism - and it is a minor one - the restaurant yesterday mornind didn't seem to have replenished the scrambled egg and when I got down at 8 there were only remains of what had been put out at 7AM when breakfast starts.

The hotel was very good in all ways.

The Hotel is First Class. The staff extremly helpfu and friendly. We really enjoyed the whole experience.
