The Vincent Hotel and Spa  

Staff were extremely professional, attentive, and helpful interior of hotel had a luxury feel to it. Free wifi, fridge in room as standard.

External noise - From our room we could hear a bar emptying it's bottle bin several times during the evening and night, then in the morning someone the noise of industrial tools being used outside. Also the small but deep bath/shower was a bit dodgy to get in and out of even though we are both pretty fit, strong individuals.

Rooms were too hot had to keep the window open but that resulted in loads of noise from people out drinking etc

Staff were lovely very friendly and helpfull. Loved the stylish room and all ares of the amazing hotel. will be back very soon.

Wet grey paint right outside my room when I had 2 young children in white flowing dresses (age 1 and 9) ready to go downstairs to the wedding.

Central location close to beach, shopping and other central location facilities. Valet car parking. Excellent friendly staff were very good indeed, good service. Mini bar in comfortable and good size room. Excellent breakfast cafe. We were in a wedding party and the staff did an excellent and professional job of organising the day so would strongly recommend the hotel for anyone getting married. Spacious garden area outside the front of the hotel gave good backdrop for wedding photos and good to have a stroll around for fresh sea air. Thoroughly enjoyable stay.

The design of the rooms and facilities were execellent. Nice quiet hotel with friendly approachable staff.

Lack of pillows on offer in room. There was not much food left on breakfast buffet when we went down to breakfast. Sausages seemed undercooked. She the staff did top the breakfast up they put the new food on top of the old food.

I prefer to have a bath to relax in at the end of the day

The hotel was one of the best I'v stayed in and would most certainly recommend this hotel to anybody who wants a relaxing stay in a highly luxurious room and a friendly hotel. The soaking bath was lush and the bed was so comfy! I thought that the welcome screen on the TV was a nice touch too.

The only very small critism with the hotel would be that the bathroom door ideally should be a slow-closing door as it banged loudly everytime it closed. And the coffee maching didnt work. I would say the only negative thing about our trip was I found generally the people to be quite rude/ unfriendly (not in the hotel) especailly whilst shopping around town - not like us yorkshire folk :)

Stylish decor, excellent restaurant with fantastic service. Extensive wines & spirits in your well stocked cocktail bar. Spa with chic & sophisticated treatment rooms. All members of staff were first class. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a short luxury break.

You have a fantastic hotel with all the mod cons. What let's you down is the very cold bathroom. Shower & bathtub first class. I would have expected under-floor heating in a boutique hotel. Very disappointing when you consider you get everything else right! Please, please do something about this. I can't be the only guest to comment on this. I was actually in the restaurant on Saturday evening when Paul Adams came in. Why doesn't he speak to one or two of his non regular guests to get some face to face feedback.

The room we was in was dark. To noisy with bar outside. Did not get much sleep.

Heating in room not working after we had unpacked, staff quick to respond. Put us in another room and guess what? Heating not working , Manager came and put us in another room on another floor, and tv not working!!! Manager again came and after a while got tv working , offered my wife a hot chocolate and a bottle of beer for me!!! In the restaurant we were given a free glass of (cheap) bubbly each - my wife doesnt drink!!

Everything. The hotel was decked out beautifully for the wedding that we attended on Friday.

The rooms were far to dark and it was hard doing makeup etc and very hot even when we opened the window.

The room was beautiful, the floor to ceiling windows gave a great sense of space and a very pretty view over Lord Street. The room itself was lovely and big, despite the very large (and very comfortable) bed. I liked that the room came with an iron and ironing board, as most hotels you have to ask for one to be brought up. The Restaurant was very cosy and romantic, and the service was polite and prompt.

There were about 8 cushions on the bed in various sizes, yet only 1 pillow each. I would have much preferred a few less cushions and a couple more pillows! The Valentines menu was vastly over-priced, the food was lovely but not worth £50 per person. I was looking at the standard V-Cafe menu and the prices didn't really add up. I understand why they want to rake in the money on Valentines, but we would have preferred the option to order off the main menu. The TV was very quiet even on full volume, and the system they use on there is very slow and temperamental. The £5 tray charge for room service is rather poor, my local take-away doesn't charge that and they have to travel 2 miles, not 2 minutes up a lift! £2.50 would be much more appropriate, especially given the price of the food.
