Room styling and comfort
Bathroom lighting a bit dim
The comfort of the room was second to none and the cleanliness was superb. Staff polite and helpful
Comfort, excellent evening food and friendly staff
Breakfast - quality of food
Lovely hotel will revisit.
Good central location, liked the ambience and food in the Brasserie
Rooms rather dark, central location means noisy at night due to revellers.
1. Function room well decorated 2. Comfy bed
1. Extremely slow lifts 2. Having a wet room for a Bathroom (very dark) & mirror useless as too dark in there 3. The welcome upon arrival, no reminder or heads up about Breakfast times/options of morning paper, wake up call etc. 4. Gents out of order on 1st floor 5. Dark uninviting corridors
The luxurious feeling
Bistro was excellent.
The room was too airless. Although beds extremely comfortable with excellent linen the room was rather suffocating. Poor lighting in the bathroom for doing make up and hair
Large and well furnished room. Tasty breakfast.
Would have preferred a full size bath. Could not connect to wifi.
Friendly staff and fabulous bathroom great food.
Rooms are up to standard breakfast was excellent and the staff was understanding and friendly
However the parking let's the side down but didn't spoil our experience
The hotels interior and exterior both beautiful, staff lovely, location brilliant (quiet but only a 5 minute walk from the nightlife and a 5 minute walk to all of the shops), cocktails lovely, breakfast was out of this world.
Shame there isn't a pool, especially for the price and as it was my partners birthday, I asked if they could put a birthday banner up in the room. A list was e-mailed to me with prices of balloons, chocolates, wine, etc but I refuse to pay £8 PER balloon when it cost me £1.50 in asda for 10! Stayed in the Hilton last year in Manchester, it cost less for the room, drinks and canopes were included and they decorated the room for free. The only downfall of the hotel is it's price but would definitely return if managed to get a good deal.
we attended a wedding at the hotel so stayed overnight - it was a lovely wedding. the king size bed in the room was very comfortable.
for £133 with breakfast thought it was a bit overpriced for the particular room we were given. very small wardrobe area and no drawers so didnt empty our case. view from hotel window ugly. breakfast was average.
the size of the suite the comfiest bed ever! luxury toiletries provided excellent service first class room service
The room was spacious & comfortable. The Air Con was an added bonus as the weather that weekend was hot.
The bed did have a large dip on the R/H side, it does need looking at. The breakfast was lovely but the service side was a little confusing as it is open to the public and hotel customers, we were unsure as to the ordering procedure, as my partner wanted poached eggs which were not on the buffet.
Modern style and decor of the room amd the large comfortable bed. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent and the staff very attentive. As it was just am overnight ther was no opportunity to try the spa.
Nothing negative to report.
The room The restaurant The personnel Value for money
Breakfast (choice of pastries and bread, and orange juice) No bath robe in room.
modernity, staff and restaurant were all excellent. very comfortable bed
small things. poor lighting in our bedroom, the Junior Suite. We had tea in our room around 5 pm but the cups and saucers had not been cleaned in time for early morning tea. for the price of the hotel, it seemed penny pinching not to offer biscuits/shortbread in the room. getting in /out of the shower was a challenge. The quality of the drinking glasses in the dining room was poor. far too thick and cheap quality. hanging space in the suite was very restricted. But these are all small points and easily resolved. We would certainly visit again.
This hotel was lovely in every way would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone.
The beds were really really comfortable
Breakfast was expensive
Love the hotel have stayed there on 3 previous occasions. Staff are friendly, helpful and courteous.
Our room windows didn't close properly so we had road noise all night. Music in the bar (which is too small) was very loud and could be heard in our bedroom. We found golf tees on the floor which suggested it had not been properly cleaned. The bed while being large and spacious was far too soft and uncomfortable
no flexibility for early cancellation. I stayed in hotel many times and I supposed to receive a better treatment. Suddenly I have changed my plan (my customer went to the hospital) and I leave one day earlier. Since my booking was done through booking.com the hotel charge me the extra night. It will be my last time in this hotel. In southport it is possible to find a valid alternative
