Lovely location and staff with excellent food
Building refurbishment caused a lot of noise
The room was very comfortable
The food in the restaurant was very poor and the waiters and waitresses were very very poor at customer service .When we complained at reception he said it was because all the staff were new .Very bad explanation !!!!
Location, good clean rooms, breakfast
The pool area is poor and neglected, the steam room/sauna was closed and taped off and we wasn't told this was shut. Avoid pool area
Staff were excellent.
Executive lounge was quite crowded.
Location. Very close to LSE.
Excellent customer service. Made to feel very welcome. Large room.
Could not master the central heating! There were no breakfast teabags. I know we could have asked for some! but felt they should have been there.
Reception and early ceck in
Plug didnt work. Very small bath!
Staff very friendly, nothing too much trouble.
Few problems - room not being ready at 3.15pm and then trying to charge us for breakfast when infact we had already paid when booking!!!
Lovely Staff, Beautiful hotel in ideal location
room was very small for price and morning coffee was horrible
Enjoyed the executive lounge very much.good selection of food and drink and peace and quiet
Could have done with a bath as well as a shower in the huge bathroom
The cocktail masterclass and meal
Included in our room rate was breakfast, which we then had to prove to the reception staff after them checking our booking twice and telling me breakfast was not included. Once proven all was ok and breakfast times were given. We were them disappointed at breakfast as we were told told it was served until 11am we went down at ten then thought we would checkout straight after, we arrived at 10am to be told breakfast was stopped being served at 10 I went to reception to sort this I didn't feel they really wanted to take blame for the error but they did let us go back to our room and order room service, we did this at 10.20am and finally revenues our breakfast at 11.25am after oho calls chasing this up.
When staying in a top class hotel in one of the major capitals cities of the world, one expects everything to be very good and the Waldorf did not disappoint. We stayed just one night as part of a birthday treat or my wife, which also took in a show at the Aldwych Theatre next door – very convenient. We had pre-booked a standard double room, but at check-in decided to upgrade to a junior suite for an extra £90. Our room was grand – large bedroom with huge super king-size bed and separate seating area, walk-in wardrobe, study kitted out with a desk etc, and a very large bathroom. One lovely touch was a TV mounted above the bath with water-proof remote control. Having upgraded, we were also given access to the Executive Lounge, which served free tea, coffee and biscuits all day long. We also took advantage of the free afternoon tea with sandwiches, cakes and scones with jam and cream – yummy! I could not fault the room, the service or the location and would certainly stay at the Waldorf again.
Excellent relaxing stay , hotel has fantastic features and wonderful staff . Made to feel so welcome at all times , can't wait to go back
Nothing everything was excellent
Cleanliness of rooms, atmosphere of the hotel and breakfast.
The spa pool needs some work and is attached to LA fitness so no lockers available to hotel guests.
the Hotel staff have been great
- mice roam freely in the dining room - the first room we were offered was last refurbished in 1948, the upgrade was a bit better but still not up to the Hilton standard - all in all, a disappointment, for both our visit and the Hilton brand
Proximity to theatre
Breakfast was foul. A luke warm buffet with rubber eggs and a dreadful toast machine. I've had better at travel lodge. Not what I expected of the waldorf.
We had an upgrade and on the second day after a full days sightseeing we found the room hadn't been cleaned or the bed made!!!
Great location for my requirements
Nothing to not like
We had a lovely room and access to the Executive Lounge which was much appreciated
Position very good. Staff superb. Very friendly.
Works going on in neighbouring rooms woke us up at 8.30 am - having had a late night out. Restaurants closed for breakfast at 10.30 am and Exec Lounge at 11 am. Normally that is OK but we had late night and arrived at 10.25 and was told no more food. Needs all day eating facilities in a cafe or somewhere other than the bar.
In all aspects
Bed a little hard for me. Room chilly breakfast could be warmer
Hotel was brilliant and the staff was excellent too very helpful would definitely stay there again for sure
the suite was superb the staff were very friendly and helpful the breakfast was great great to have use of the Executive lounge as well
Attitude of staff Size of room Dirty room
