The staff service was excellent.
I booked 2 rooms, one for 2 people & one for 1 person. The room for two people was fair & the room for one person was poor for the price of the rooms.
We booked a queen room with a view but our first room was a normal bed with no view. After we complained we were offered second room which was larger with a queen bed and a view on the front of the hotel but it only had a tiny window so when we were in our room it was very dark. We settled for this room but we didn't feel it was value for money. The Hotel bar was very very expensive.
My Granddaughter and I had a wonderful time at The Waldorf.
It was a shame that Breakfast was not included in price, but we did manage to enjoy it.
Staff where nice and helpfull
rooms small and dark with poor quality fixtures and fittings. the shower and no water pressure the list goes on. its not a bad hotel its just not a 5 star hotel and for the price of it there our many better hotels that offer better value for money
Amazing experience. Staff were fantastic, suite was large, beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and comfortable, all meals were superb.
Minor gripe- the indoor pool area is in need of some maintenance.
Very confortable bed, really good night's sleep.
There was a problem with my booking. I booked a deluxe twin room for me and my female friend. The hotel "upgraded"us to a double room but couldn't understand why we objected to being expected to share a bed. Their excuse was they were busy. Eventually ended up with a twin room as another guest, who had booked a double room and got single beds pushed together, was also complaining so we swapped rooms. The check in process took 1.75 hours!!! Breakfast was also a fiasco as we queued for 15 minutes to be shown to a table only to find it hadn't been cleared from the previous guests. We waited a further 5 minutes before being shown to another table. The table service was non existent as I had to attract the attention of a waiter to ask for tea 10 minutes after sitting down. The milk jug was empty and dirty and we were without tea spoons and other cutlery. There were queues waiting for the cooked breakfast to be replenished. Definitely not 5 star standard. This is my first experience of this particular establishment and unfortunately a lasting one!
Atmosphere of the area
the ambiance of the hotel, really plush.
Staff were very inexperienced and many did not understand English
The bar for post theate drinks
Requesting to change room as first allocation was beyond small Fuse repeatedly blew leaving room with no electricity Being told gym didn't open until 9:30 when in fact it opened at 9 leaving me waiting when I needn't have been I've had better breakfasts in what I'm sure the Waldorf would deem lesser hotels
Staff were very helpful, hotel was clean and bright and position was second to none close to theatres and Covent Garden.
Breakfast was very busy and chaotic, though the food was very good.
Excellent location for theatre visit. Comfortable bar for after theatre drinks.
breakfast excellent bar excellent
Would like a larger double bed but then we are used to a large bed!
bad breakfast service.
The hotel was great.Big room with a great very big bathroom. The staff were very helpful, especially the men in the info desk. The executive club was a big plus.Very clean rooms and the hotel itself.Great location.5 minutes walk to Picaddily Circus
The only thing negative is the expensive room service.Although the food costs much, they charge you 5 pounds for the service. We paid 23 pounds for a Club Sandwich
Bedrooms were good and ataff. Out helpful and polite. Sadly the chaotic dining room at breakfast was a huge let down.
Mon 3 Nov breakfast was a disaster. Queuing for ages to get in. Had to ask and wait for plates, food, orange juice...basics. Tue, Wed less busy but staff still hadn't organised or observed what food needed topping up or that there were no plates or utensils! Needs overseeing. Poor show!
Location, Staff. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights , with parking . Concierge and doorman very polite and informative, didnt have breakfast ( went to Delauney - Fabulous) , but did have Dinner , was fine but not spectacular .
Didn't replace towels or turn down the beds , which we would expect at A Waldorf Hotel, rooms very dated , more like a holiday inn. For the money we were very disappointed have stayed in much better , bigger rooms for half the price ! Wouldn't go back , or recommend really .
The staff is very nice and the breakfast was good.
My room was not clean, as it should be. There was a lots of dusty in all the furniture.
The hotel location is excellent for the theatre. Help us to pay congestion charge. Gave good information on how to get to the attractions we wanted to visit.
The experience was a good alround weekend
The beds moved around on wheels and didnt feel very solid- it seemed to move every time you rolled over!
The room was not a Queen Deluxe You can't say a standard size double bed is a Queen Room Deluxe !!! Moved to another Queen Deluxe Room - SAME SIZE. !!!! Totally disappointed
Excellent and friendly staff/service. Swimming pool was lovely. Geoffs bar lounge was stunning.
The standard room was very small.
we loved that it was so close to Covent Garden, the theatres and restaurants. the staff were very attentive and helpful. fabulous large bathroom loved the large tv
we loved the bar but were very disappointed how long it took for our food to arrive. Room not overly big
Elegant setting for breakfast and a wide menu choice. Location close to all shops, galleries, Covent Garden etc as well as transport.
The air conditioning fought a losing battle with the rather stuffy corridors, but the nedrooms were fine as the windows could be opened.
