breakfast, central location
room temperature was like an oven, thermostat on radiator did not work to switch off, had to sleep with window wide open. Sore throat next morning. Shower thermostat twitchy and went from extreme hot to barely warm so showered in barely warm water. Not pleasureable experience and I would think twice about staying again.
Excellent central location, surrounded by a nice range of good restaurants.
The High Street in Warwick is a busy road so you will be woken early if you stay at this hotel. It location and limited parking space may make this hotel not an ideal location for tourists, which is unfortunate as Warwick is certainly worth visiting.
Hotel facilities (breakfast/bar)
Car parking Noise of bathroom fan Very small shower Noise from other guests (not they they were very noisy, but you could hear everything)
Position if hotel and friendliness of reception staff.
Quality of the food.
Lighting system & noises bathroom fan.
Staff were very helpful. Drinks prices were very reasonable for a hotel.
A little plain and shabby in areas. In our toilet, it smelt of sewarage, and then curry at night time.
Hotel very convenient for the castle and town. Staff very good and polite.
Shower very small.
Great central location. Lovely rooms.
The smell of fresh paint in the room gave me a headache.
The location is excellent, in walking distance of the castle, shops, restaurants and bars. It was a pleasant change to be able to order breakfast from a menu rather than the usual self service.
The bedroom and bathroom were very small, but the location and value for money made up for this.
The location, the comfort and the reception staff. I phoned in advance to ask about special dietary requirements and was reassured by the excellent reception staff over the phone and on arrival that catering for my dietary needs would be no problem and that they were familiar with and had gluten free and lactose free foods in stock. I decided it was worth paying extra if it meant that this would be taken care of professionally. The receptionist who welcomed me even told me there was almond milk in the fridge.
I feel I was lured into a false sense of security because when I arrived for breakfast the young man who was serving had no idea about gluten free or lactose free foods. Rather than being the pleasure I had been looking forward to, my breakfast turned into a horrible experience. The young man was never rude but he did make me feel that I was being fussy and was definitely an inconvenience. The gf muesli was the worst I have ever tasted and the poached eggs on cardboard must surely have been microwaved. I suggest there is an urgent training need here for kitchen staff and those who serve the food before the law changes in December!
Very nice hotel and friendly staff
Parking was a nightmare. Multi storey shuts at night!!! Took me 40 minutes to find somewhere on a Thursday night. Had to park half a mile away.
Excellent for Warwick Castle Friendly reception staff
Breakfast room staff provided poor service Not enough pillows supplied in room
Location, staff and courtesy, comfortable spaces to sit and relax (and work as well).
Location in the town centre was ideal Room although a bit small was very well fitted out Very relaxing atmosphere with a modern but very much in character style Lovely relaxing bar area Nd comfortable seating
Parking was resricted and no reservation facility we did however get two cars parked
The lighting is very tricky to figure out. I shaved in the dark.
Staff really friendly and obliging. The age of the hotel gave it an amazing crooked house effect, so quirky! Great location and the MOP fair was on, so had a wander and took some great photos, also of the castle at night, which is just behind the hotel. There was a birthday party with music, which we were told would finish at midnight. It wasn't too bad anyway, but it actually finished at 11.30pm which we thought was thoughtful. Particularly downstairs, the hotel has been modernised in a way which kept or highlighted the original features Very comfortable bed and nights sleep Very good breakfast
Generally, the room/ hotel needs just a little bit more loving and it would be perfect. The room didn't smell as fresh as it might, could have down with an airing, but the bed, pillows etc... were clean. There were cracks in the walls and ceiling from understandable movement which would have been better hidden with decoration. There was mould on the silicone seal of the shower shield. The grouting of the bathroom had been renewed in parts, but was unfinished and had holes. The basin wooden base was damaged. They are smallish things but noticeable and easy to resolve
Friendly and helpful staff, Town centre location, Excellent value dinner, Family suite.
Car parking difficult, Very firm mattress, Instant coffee at breakfast
Friendly and helpful staff Good standard of decor Excellent breakfast Good value for money
Bathroom very small and space around the toilet very cramped. Unpleasant smell in the bathroom Restaurant not open on a Sunday
The location is great with light and bright seating area with comfortable chairs. Breakfast was served at the table and was very good.
The rooms were very small and the bathroom was completely unacceptable for people taller than 5 foot. There was hardly room to turn round in the bathroom and it was so compact that there was hardly room to sit on the toilet. Poor.
We all travelled long distances, the staff were helpful from booking to departure. Any queries from hair dressers to barbers were dealt with. Staff were friendly approachable, nothing was a problem, even gluten free was happily catered for. Thanks for a brilliant weekend, we want to travel down again, to stay with you and see more of Warwick.
There wad not anything that we could dislike. Any problem or concern was dealt with straight away
Central location, helpfull staff and good breakfast.
No spare pillow, car alarm going off through the night(unfortunate) but didnt get much sleep.
Loved the Inn! Fantastic food, real good size family room, clean, very helpful and friendly people, walking distance to the castle. Made to feel very welcomed.
limited parking, could not check in until 3pm (little tricky when you have had a super long flight and drive and only staying one night)
walkable from the train station located in the centre of town, near to the castle so good for shopping and sightseeing (if you have time)
dining room faces road, so noisy from passing traffic
