Smelly room Painted block walls Like a cell No tv
ideal value for money
The hotel is close to shopping, food stores, sights, attractions. A very casual feel about the place. There was a very large kitchen/common room available to use. The hotel is right there by the water.
My room in block H was in need of refurbishing. Mainly the ensuite, as convenient as it was, it had a grimy feel to it. The floor in it was dirty looking. The shower stall had missing tiles and gobs of glue on the floor. The drain was really slow and because of a hole in the retaining wall, one had to be careful not to flood the carpet in the room. Watch that shower knob, because if you turn it too far, you might scald yourself. The mattress was lumpy and the cover, although warm, was difficult to deal with. There are much nicer places for just as cheap if you go to Dunoon or Clydebank.
No television or radio
Location Privacy Quiet
Size of bathrooms
location, you could not buy the view, wonderful
Good value, friendly staff, central location, clean room
Kitchen dirty but that was not the fault of the hostel.
Rooms could do with a freshning up! Carpets, paint etc...
Television should be provided in the room.
the temporary caretaker -- nothing else
Toilet did not flush, bed a single for 2 people, dirty, 20 pounds more the the Hotel next door or the Holiday Inn (which also include a full hot breakfast -- this joint provides nothing) . I would de-list this hovel and rate it minus 3 stars.
it was very central
no tv or radio
Very close to train station and on waterfront. Grocery store across street and nice common room. It is a dorm room of West Scotland College so room furnishings a bit plain but suited my needs. Staff, Jackie, very helpful.
When flushed toilet it made a loud banging sound for at least 2-4 minutes and could be heard outside of room. I mentioned it to office Friday morning but no one ever looked at it. I stayed until Sunday morning so maybe no one worked on weekend.
stayed one night travelling to highlands was clean ,basic room which was all I wanted
Room was good
No reception no atmosphere. Security
This is former student accommodation right beside the Clyde. They were lucky students. The best thing is the location and views. The rooms are fairly basic but fully functional, good WiFi signal, desk space and decent size rooms with en-suite. There's no reception, just an office, but I was given a mobile number to call when I arrive and the caretaker came out to meet me and got me the keys and took payment. All very efficient. It's more geared up for longer-term guests, with well-equipped shared kitchens. However, a one-night stay like mine was fine.
Clean room, comfy bed and no noise. Good hot shower and lovely staff.
Rubbish bins overflowing in the kitchen. No TV or radio. Finding office and key drop off was not obvious.
Need to be more clean.
location comfort en suite ability to check in and out at time to suit us.
self catering kitchen could do with a revamp and a larger selection of items. Slightly less well stocked than a youth hostel would be, but would suspect that this isn't an all year round facility for guest.
En suite good price helpful staff
It seems to be a student hall of residence which I wasn't aware of but no surprise for the cheap price. Fine for my purposes but wouldn't suggest it to a business traveller.
stayed here while working at the commonwealth games. was perfect for what I needed. basic but great price. the communal kitchen was great because it helped socialising between the other guests at the waterfront. I had a great time!
its not a hotel its a hostel
easy access and parking; freedom to come & go without 'rules'; comfortable bed;
good location and price and friendly staff. Access to kitchen for cooking.
Very basic, used to be student accomodation, but good for a short stay!
Great location, great views
A bit cold in the rooms, staff had to install additional heater.
Just right for what I wanted - simple and uncomplicated. Very helpful staff, great river view, theatre nearby and good transport links to Glasgow.
