Big room with tasty food in pub. Not noisy because my room is far from the pub
Good value for money Good location
paying to park along the road during my visit
Great staff,,nice surroundings,,, loved it
the cleaning and the kindness of the staff are the main things that I liked.
The room are not so big, but if you need just a comfortable room where you don't spend so much time, that is just perfect!

Rooms were a surprise and excellent
We were given 2 slices of toast between us and made feel pretty bad for asking for more. A stupid attitude on an otherwise pleasant place.
Breakfast was cold No parking
No parking, poor bathroom, noisy room.
Fan with remote provided to deal with summer heat wave. Attractive room with all expected amenities and access to two shared toilet/sink shower rooms. Very pleasant stay.
Clean, tidy, friendly staff, nice food. Location was really nice, not too close, not too far from cambridge.
Small room, road traffic noise, as it was really hot and the window had to be open.
Good standard of room and facilities
Would have prefered full english breakfast but appreciate had no chef
The fact that from the outside it did not look very inviting but once inside we were pleasantly surprised.
That the continental breakfast only supplied two slices of white toast and one croissant between two of Us?????
Staff were excellent and very helpful, food was delicious. Room and bathroom facilities were clean.
parking in Cambridge is tricky.
Nice place with traditional English pub on base floor Personnel is willing to help Menu is fine & food is great
Rooms are a bit small
Nice pub friendly staff good choice of food
Electric shower- had to run around to get wet!!!
convenient location, great staff, friendly ambience, good quality food.
Reasonable price, not a bad location. Room was small but perfectly adequate. Sharing facilities was weird but not a problem.
My room was located next to the road which was constantly busy and as a result I had no sleep. Not great. Breakfast was a nightmare. Offered coffee, which was delivered at a reasonable time, then told crossaints & toast would be next. 30mins later no sign of said breakfast. Went to find out why to be told by same staff that had brought original coffee that he had not seen us come down to breakfast!! He then went on to serve other people who had just walked in. Eventually breakfast delivered. Then when we asked for more coffee we were reluctantly told a fresh pot would needed to be made!! Not happy!! When I queried breakfast fiasco with owner he said it was because they had a new chef!! Obviously croissants are beyond his remit!! Because of the shoddy service from breakfast staff and the noisy room next to the road, sorry but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone :0(
The Waterman greatly exceeded my expectations. I booked because of the convenient location and price, knowing it to be basically a pub. The room was well fitted-out and comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. It's difficult to find reasonably-priced accommodation anywhere near the centre of Cambridge. I'll certainly go there again if I need to stay over in Cambridge.
Everything was excellent!
The location vis-a-vis walking into town was fine; right by the river and several pretty footpaths. The proprietors were friendly. It was quite warm in the room and on the third night a very nice programmable fan showed up. Wish it had come two days earlier!
Windows were right on a very busy road; lorries and motorcycles were passing by most of the night. Wifi signal was very unstable. There was a lot of silly bric-a-brac on all the surfaces, taking up space where we would have liked to put our things.
We stayed at the waterman with our one year old daughter. It was generally excellent. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The best service we've encountered at any hotel. The room was comfortable and although we picked a room without en suite, the bathroom was close by and always free when we needed one. The waterman provided a cot and bedding for the baby and there were high chairs avaliable in the pub downstairs. The continental breakfast was fine but we paid extra for the full English which was excellent. We also had an evening meal in the pub which was good too. The waterman was a 10 minute walk from the city centre and around 30 minutes from the train station (with some big suitcases and a buggy). There are also many busses!
The curtains let a lot of light in which meant the baby woke very early (argh)
Large room, possibility for preparing coffee
No place to put my suitcase Wi-Fi only through icloud
The staff were very helpful. The facilities were clean.
