No hot water in morning
Couldn't fault it
Near town center, staff friendly
Room noisey, shower took ages to warm up...tiles an bath could do with replacing badly stained.....room to warm though radiator off in main room.....Bar shut too early though customers still in bar ( you lost some money there )
Location was good staff where good and polite
Great location beside the river - a 7ish minute walk to the centre of Paisley. The staff were so lovely, very welcoming. Room - a little old fashioned but it was spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed.
The old ridiculously large key ring........but that's about it!
Excellent welcome and a great room with character. Clean and everything in working order.
Scrambled eggs a bit dry.
Friendly and helpful staff Restaurant and bar on site Amazing and low priced food Right opposite Paisley town centre
Could hear other guest making lots of noise at night (big bus load of tourists)
The friendly staff & great bar food
Lovely building and nice setting - it all ends there.
chef in the foyer with dirty apron, same apron in the morning! Put me off having breakfast.
The easy parking, the comfortable room and bed, the good shower and the excellent breakfast
Not knowing that the noise I thought was some sort of odd air conditioning was actually the noise of the river flowing over the weir outside! I think it would be good to have a note in the rooms explaining this and telling guests how relaxing it is to listen to water flowing ...
The radiators didn't work in the bedroom and bathroom. Also there was no hot water.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The room was very small for a double bed, one side of the bed was against a wall. This is not what I would expect in any hotel. The trouser press fell pff the wall and nearly bruised my toes! It was obvious this had just been propped up in old holes that had not been properly fixed. The kettle did not work Grrrrrr, We got an apology from reception but I did not feel that was a good enough response. I could not be bothered to follow up as it is highly unlikely that I will use The Watermill again! Oh and the lift didn't work!
Near town centre.
Rooms could do with up date bathroom tiles in need of repair. Have Stayed in better hotels for less.
Came back to hotel at 22.00hrs and was lock Could not get in. Took 20 minutes knocking at window to be let in . Mobile phone was off Would not stay there again
Was told that some would be on duty to let me in. Most annoyed as it was very cold.
Staff were very friendly Service good
Room far too hot broken tiles/tap in bathroom whole place needs upgrading - paintwork, carpets, etc.
Room size and view from bedroom, dinner was excellent and thorughly reccomend.
Hotel was centrally situated for town centre. Receptionist Karen was extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly.
We had booked Xmas lunch for the 12.30 sitting, proof of which I had on e-mail, but was told we had requested the 4pm sitting. The lady we dealt with was irritable and unhelpful. We were despatched to the far side of the dining room away from other guests and next to the swing door to the kitchen, despite there being plenty room in the main room. We had a cancellation of one of our guests, an elderly sick aunt who was bedridden for the day, and despite advising the desk about this, we were still charged 50 pounds for her lunch. The lifts were out of order our entire visit and there was no porter service. The hotel is in dire need of an upgrade it is drab and tired. I cannot recommend the Watermill to anyone.
Location and area.
Weather lol oh its Scotland.
the staff were very friendly but not enough to redeem the hotel
wearrived to pay our bill and immediately were informed the lift was broken ( its been broken for two years) then we were sent to the third floor. The wind howled through the room through damaged window frames. there was a bucket in the hall to collect rain water. only one radiator worked in the room and though the breakfast was big the quality (taste) was abysmal (missing) The bar was more akin to a library (outside of opening hours) the hotel in general lacked any atmosphere other than what entered uninvited through the windows and roof of the third floor.
Nice staff and close to town.
Unable to get food on arrival (9.15) I did add a note to my booking asking if food was available.
Location easy walk to Gilmour Street train station and local shops. Pretty, historic building by the river. Good choice at breakfast and helpful staff.
The room was so hot, we turned off the radiator in the room but couldn't turn off the one in the bathroom. With the window open it was slightly cooler. (it was December and the Chinese guests in the hotel were cold but would be nice to be able to regulate the temperature in the room ourselves). We should have asked for a fan in all fairness and the reception would have arranged for one to be delivered to the room.
Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good. Public areas were attractive.
Nothing about the room.It was small, very basic, shabby and seriously requires an upgrade. Would never stay here again unless huge changes were made.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, couldn't fault them at all. The bed was very comfortable, the towels were nice and big and fluffy, and the room was clean. The cooked breakfast was good, but the continental was substandard, with cheese in individual packets, individually wrapped croissants ... just not very nice.
The wi-fi didn't work while I was there, nor did the lift. It would be nice to have either a comfy chair or a desk in the room (I noticed other rooms that had them). The halls are really dingy and depressing.
