Staff, general decor and comfort, location.
Very poor air con, We couldnt actually breathe ! window in bedroom was so tiny, I actually had to take a walk at 2am outside to get some air, far too warm, needs larger windows or air con.
Staff very friendly very clean and well run hotel
Staff made us feel very welcome.
Room was little small for two but a view to the river, very relaxing. The food was excellent. The penne paste the best I've tasted or was I just hungry, maybe both.
If the room was lager it would have good my excellent rating.
Staff very friendly location good for going around paisley lovely breakfast
Creaking floorboards it was quite noisy when people above you were walking around their room
The hotel was pleasant enough, however the staff were outstanding. We enjoyed the kind words and the company of both members of reception staff and the gentleman bartender.
We were looking forward to a delicious cooked meal without having to leave the hotel. We ordered from the menu and were told our choices were not available. We chose alternatives and were bitterly disappointed. We would do anything not to eat here on another visit.
Room extremely small. could not stand up in shower
Room Breakfast Staff Parking Location
Dinner very average
Very clean with lovely and helpful staff. Food was amazing and quick to be served.
No hot water in shower after 10am unless run sink's hot water tap for 5 mins but doesnt always do the trick.
Quiet location and near to the town no traffic noise
Room initially was cold and the heating did not work
A bit old and tired, needs renovation soon.
Lovely authentic hotel with all the charm you would expect in Scotland. The staff were warm, friendly and very attentive. Rooms were great and comfy if you can go for a room with a river view.. All in all a great little place would certainly stay again when in Paisly..
Quite a lot of spiders around the windows.
tea/coffee facilties cleanliness of bedding etc
no available extra blanket as weather turned cool. not sure who missed my request for quiet room. noisy lift! could not close window toiletries - scottish company but made in China -really!
Pleasant stay in nicely refurbished room overlooking river. Good value for money. No complaints.
The place the location the staff and the food
The windows leaked and poured rainwater over our bags and clothes, the staff denied it even tho the carpets were sodden, on our return home i see other reviews post similiar comments
nice room, 11.30 check out
The view from the bedroom, the food and the friendly atmosphere.
Bathroom was a little small but it is an old building so no fault of the hotel.
The view of the river was a nice surprise, staff were friendly and helpful, location was central, beds clean and comfortable
The lift was old and very small, a bit scary. Having to keep the window closed to help with the noise made it far too hot to sleep there was also a fair bit of noise from the corridor
Airport hotels are notoriously overpriced. I would recommend the Watermill Hotel to anyone flying out early from Glasgow. Book in advance and you'll get a cheap, comfortable hotel within a couple of miles of the airport. Taxi service excellent.
Room Staff Sound of the waterfall
Shower head still did not work even though we mentioned it to the hotel one week earlier.
The room was clean and well presented. Some of the staff were considerate and went further to assist. Site has a TV & Bar area, good WiFi coverage throughout the hotel. A garden area and dining area.
The windows in the room require attention, not only are they single glazed but could not be closed completely, thus letting in all noise and had it been a colder time of year, the temperature as well. Workmen making noise at 6am. Some staff gave the impression they were being bothered with a question and shrugged rather than answered. I felt the quality of food could have been higher. The cost of £150 per night was far too high, given the above remarks.
Location in Paisley and on site parking. OK for a night stop, but pricey for what it is.
Bar staff asked my son and his girlfriend to leave by 11pm as they were guests, this ruined his pre-graduation night out and left us feeling terrible: however the night porter served us so all turned out OK. Staff training seems to be needed. Breakfast was basic and not good value. Room was small and not double glazed so traffic noise was heard. The hotel needed some investment to bring it up to standard.
The hotel is ideally situated for the Airport and is 10 minute walk from Paisley Canal Stn, if you want to go into Glasgow. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a big hit with my son, who is 9, and the bar food was very reasonably priced. We didn't dine in the restaurant.
Hotel has some charming aspects to it but is a bit dated. I appreciate that old building so limited with what they can possibly do. A tiny lift if you have difficulty walking the stairs with heavy luggage. Narrow hallways with creaky floorboards. The traffic can be noisy if at front of hotel.
