Staff very helpful, cheerful and made us feel very welcome. Hotel has a charming atmosphere.
Receptionist was very pleasant. Room was warm, bed was very comfortable. Room had a kettle, tea bags, coffee, sugar and Biscuits. Hot water for a bath. bathroom had a tube of shampoo and a tube of bath/shower gel, just enough for 2 baths. The TV had a good picture quality, and the wifi worked very well. Food in the restaurant was very nice, although I only had an evening meal.
The walls of the room were very thin, I could hear the man next door snoring, and when I was in the bath I could hear him using the toilet. Attention to detail was missing at my table in the restaurant, Places had been laid out but no napkins. There were no condomants at the tables, and I was not asked if I wanted any, or any suaces to enhance my meal. The menu was a set menu for 3 courses which I was unaware of before I went in to the restaurant. The price of £18.75 was ok if you wanted the xmas meal but a bit steap for steak pie or fish and chips. The waitress seemed to have forgotten about me once she gave me the bill becausee bill then I was sitting at my table for 45 minuetes before she took my room number card, and then she placed it on the reception desk, and I would have been sitting there longer if I hadn't decided to leave the restaurant.
Good food and plenty of it at a reasonable price.Rooms were cosy, well equipped and comfortable.Nice central location.Staff friendly and helpful.
Lift wasn't working, but hey! these things happen.Exercise is good for you.
The bed was obviously very old and the mattress worn out as you could feel the springs and it was very uncomfortable.
The hotel was great.service was great
The food was terrible.turkey tasted like bernard mathews joint.and fish was grey and tasteless
Lady at Reception was lovely and welcoming ,location great breakfast very good ,overall great value .
Would be a lovey hotel if the rooms were modernised and upgraded as looks lovely from outside and great location ,bed was so uncomfortable .
Convenient for what I wanted. Food much better than expected
Rooms past their best but acceptable.
loxation and price
if on upper level water flow at shower is pior
the staff were fantastic, they couldn't do enough for me, made me feel like I was the only customer there, very very pleased with them
I think the price of the room should automatically include breakfast,
Location, bar/restaurant, cute little room attractively appointed, proximity to train/plane.
Breakfast was meh, couldnt figure out the shower, have to parachute out of tub. (Honestly, why are they so high? Is a trip/slip hazard.)
Friendly barmaid who busied about and was cheery but bar lacked atmosphere. We arrived in the dark and the hotel facade is lit up and looks quaint. It's an old building with some nice features but needs work. Breakfast was fine especially if you are in a hurry as hadn't even finished my cereal and the cooked plate arrived.
Avoid room 218 if at all possible. It is really warm with no control of heating. It is very noisy too and not sure if it is from the river rapids outside or an extractor which runs all night. Felt like sleeping inside a fan heater! Bathroom is pretty ropey too and the shower a trickle.
Staff perfect but no hot water in the morning.....
Secure! White table cloths on tables Reception was very helpful
Lift very small Windows too small Shower base was dirty, and hot water took ages to come through.
welcome of staff, had a booking issue but sorted it out. Good cooked to order breakfast. On site parking, short walk into town for food.
nothing to add
very good family hotel, with a very good view from some rooms.
A nice welcome and a comfortable bed.
Came down for breakfast at 9.26 am and the waitress checked her watch twice to see if we were too late for it.. not nice!
Location, price and service, with car parking directly outside.
Our room faced the road and there was no double glazing so it was noisy.
The hotel and rooms were comfortable and clean .
The temperature in the room was far to high and their was a bad odour from outside.
The staff were very good especially Karelia on reception who made us feel at home as soon as we walked in and was very helpful the whole time we were there and Kieran in the bar was very friendly and helpful we will definitely be back
Very friendly staff. Would stay again.
creaking floor boards from the room above. stayed in November i personally found the breakfast area very cold.
I liked this traditional hotel, it had lovely views over the water. It was central. The bed was comfy and the room warm.
It was a tad run down the shower ran cold and the tiles needed replacing. Breakfast was dry.
Very convenient to the venue where we were attending a concert.
The hotel was very central for my purpose.
There were no shelves or drawers in the room, so I had to leave some of my items in my suitcase.
Shower could have a better shower going outside in the rain
The view over the Hamills is the best hidden secret of Paisley. Watching salmon leap the weirs was amazing.
The poor soundproofing from the windows makes it difficult to get a good nights sleep when the White Cart is in full flow.
