Friendliness of owners and excellent breakfast.
Excellent breakfast Tea and coffee with fresh water, Friendly owners Near the sea
the owners were friendly and accomodating. We arrived early and were met with friendliness. The room we had was lovely and light , nicely decorated and spacious. It was a quiet location with the sea at one end of the road and the town at the other end of the road. The breakfasts were good and well presented. Sheila and Paul are a lovely helpful couple and down to earth. Although we did not have a dog it is dog friendly and the couple have dogs of their own which are lovely but not in the guests way. They were quiet too. We had a lovely time thank you Sheila and Paul (and doggies)
The room was pleasantly decorated and very clean, albeit a little small. Breakfast was very enjoyable with a good choice and the hot food was freshly prepared. The owners were most approachable and friendly.
A place for good food, clean, quite and friendly all what you need for a good rest.
Close to the sea in a nice area. Paul and Sheila helped us with directions to get around the city and as we had to leave very early in the morning for a plane, they made a lunch to take with us. They also gave great recommendations where to get good food for supper. The bed was comfortable.
The room was on the third floor and the steps were very narrow which made it difficult to carry suitcases up and down. There was no hairdryer in the room when we arrived, but one was brought to the room when we asked for it. It needed the filter cleaned on it before it would work. There was also no bathmat when we arrived, but there was one the next day. The exhaust vent in the bathroom was so clogged that it didn't work.
Lovely Friendly guest house Ideal location for Boscome beach and surrounding areas.
Good breakfast and friendly staff
Bedroom could have been more dust free, dusty blinds and skirting boards
Really attentive and friendly. Breakfast superb. Plenty to keep you going. Close to the beach. Excellent facilities
Nothing worth mentioning
Location - ideal for Southbourne beaches
lovely couple running the b & b excellent breakfast very comfy room
The location was excellent. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The bedroom was very clean with tea making facilities and TV. Good parking. Superb choice for breakfast.
The owner operators are two of the loveliest, kindest, friendliest people you will ever meet. They make you feel so welcome and comfortable, and that alone is worth the price of admission :)
Our room had very thin, pale curtains, which let sunlight in from very early in the morning. It means you find yourself awake at 5am when you really want to be sleeping in. Its an easily fixable problem, and may have only affected out east facing room, but one that did put a dampener on the stay. Also they had two dogs, but we never got to see them which made us sad as we love dogs :)
Close to seafront Light airy room Very helpful hosts Free parking
Welcoming owners who made short stay a pleasurable experience-would return!
The owners we very welcoming and friendly.
It was just lovely.. we were welcomed soon as we arrived ... the room was clean & tidy ... we were given info to places to go which was very helpful .... All in all it was a great couple of days away in nice friendly inviroment ...thankyou both
Sheila and Paul are very friendly and the room is sooo nice. The hotel is close to the beach which is sooo romantic! We cannot wait for the next stay! REALLY Like It!
The decor and ambience are excellent. The welcome and attentiveness are faultless. Breakfasts are superb.
Wi-fi a little weak in the room.
Very helpful owners. Close to the sea front & some nice places to eat within walking distance.
Very friendly, helpful hosts. Very close to the beach and shops/restaurants. Off road parking. Good transport links. Lovely breakfast. Would recommend to friends and would stay at the Waterside again.
Nothing really, maybe could have a longer window for breakfast.
We found Sheila & Paul to be very friendly, very helpful, and always ready to offer advice for places to visit and dine. No hesitation in returning to The Waterside if visiting the area again. Most enjoyable.
The room we booked was rather small but we were made aware of this by Sheila and their other rooms I'm sure would be larger. This is the only reason we didn't give comfort an excellent score
Huge room, very comfortable & friendly owners. Close to the beach and to Southbourne village.
I'm nit-picking here: but the black internal doors and burgundy carpet don't work for me.
Paul and Sheila were excellent host's, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived until the minute we left. Very nice room, very clean and comfortable.
I liked the price and the no nonsense and easy way to book. The room was very comfortable and in a good location for what we wanted to do. Itr was nice being able to walk along the seafront into Bournemouth. We also left a bottle of wine in our room and the hotel owners left us two nice wine glasses to drink it out of.
I wasn't keen on the rather gloomy music in the breakfast room, I would have preferred no music to than that. We were also one cup short for making a cup of tea one evening. However, it was no problem for me to just borrow a cup from the breakfast room.
