The Orkney car ferry is 2 minutes away. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Thurso. It is close to the A9 to Scrabster Harbour, and the main road to the west coast of the Highlands. Bedrooms are located in the main hotel building and in lodges on the hotel grounds. Fresh, local food is served in the relaxed sports bar and 2 sun rooms with excellent views. Very pleasant and helpfull young lady on reception. A good barman who booked dinner at a restaurant just down the road as we were not happy with eating in a bar The evening meal had to be taken in a bar area when with children running around when a appropriate dining area was available but we were told it was set up for breakfast, and with the room costing £95.00 for one night this let this hotel down

The hotel was well located, the room spacious and clean with a view across Thurso Bay. It was very comfortable. we booked a deluxe room and it was very spacious and comfortable. The Hotel staff were friendly. It was all that was written about it.

The view from the generous windows in room 202! Also the lovely room, which was spacious and beautifully clean and very comfortable. We also loved the breakfast room, with views of Scrabster and the delightful breakfasts each morning. We stayed with you for three nights and are already looking forward to a longer stay the next time we come over from Canada. We suggested your hotel to six of our friends and the Mitchells, Cumming and Bolton joined us. Very convivial staff helped to make our stay very enjoyable, especially in the evenings.

The last hotel on highway A9, The Ferry Inn at Scrabster is newly renovated and has wonderful sea views. Just north of Thurso, Scrabster Harbor is the gateway to the Orkney Islands.
