The Weigh Inn Hotel overlooks the Pentland Firth and has panoramic views of the Orkney Islands. The Orkney car ferry is 2 minutes away. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Thurso. It is close to the A9 to Scrabster Harbour, and the main road to the west coast of the Highlands. Bedrooms are located in the main hotel building and in lodges within the hotel grounds. Fresh, local food is served in the relaxed sports bar and 2 conservatories with excellent views. The Weigh Inn has 3 bars, and function and conference suites for up to 300 people. Food very good staff very good as we turn up a day late they put us in the bridle suite. Bridle bed was a bit hard and lumpy ,must of got a lot of use.

We had dinner . All was very nice except steaks were cooked on a dirty grill . As it spoiled the taste what would have been a very good steak .. A strong burnt taste probably should have put back to kitchen ....that apart all very good .

A geat view to the ocean and to the lambs eating the herbs soon in the morning, till the sunset. The room was very large and confortable. The bed could be better, mainly the springs of the matress.

Friendly staff. Excellent Food. It took forever toget hot water in the bathroom. So much so that on the second day I didn'thave enogh time to have a proper shower.

Kamer was uiteindelijk wel goed gelegen.Uitzicht op zee. Hoewel zeer lang van te voren voorkeur voor kamer aangegeven, was deze niet beschikbaar. Zouden moeten verhuizen voor de 2e nacht. Volgende morgen durfde receptioniste wel te beslissen dat kamer met view voor ons bleef.

een hotel zoals we min of meer in Nederland gewend zijn. receptie was ronduit niet vriendelijk, keurig netjes meer niet. locatie voor het avondeten was erg ongezellig zag er meer uit als een goedkoop weg restaurant, het was overduidelijk dat door weinig klanten ze de normale avondzaal dicht en opgeruimd wilde houden

everything was good except one - see below we may have been unlucky but the receptionist both on arrival and next day on departure [same person] was not espcially welcoming [we had had a long journey] and gave the impression that the sooner we settled the bill and left the happier she would be. whilst rising from the office chair is not vital, it wuold have helped to indicate some measure of interest in our visit.

Convenient for my Business Trip, easy to find, We Stayed in De-Luxe Room which was very Large, and spacious my only quip was althought it was a King Size Bed, The Mattress was not comfy, I ended sleeping on top of the duvet to give me extra comfort, I felt all the springs in the mattress,
