The food was good
Love The Welly. Love the staff. Love the food, love everything. We try to go every year. Keep up the good work and thanks for a fantastic stay. Carol and Rick (Winch)
Atmospheric hotel; comfortable lounge area; good selection of bar menu meals/snacks. Good breakfast
Room a little on the small side
location food breakfast
The Hotel was at the center of Boscastle near to other restaurants and a good pub.
The Hotel was overpriced and although the Breakfast service was good it wasnt that large. The Breakfast had 1 of Sausauge, rasher, mushroom , egg and tomatoe. Also the Hotel had various wi-fi hot spots which all came up as poor in my room.
Room - the Gibson Room - was splendid. Staff friendly and helpful. The cooked part of breakfast was excellent
The not cooked part of breakfast needs improving. Not enough fresh fruit, indifferent jams and no plain yoghurt. Dinner menu did not change for the length of our stay. Took three requests to get broken light bulbs changed
Friendly staff, very good food companionable bar. Excellent location.
No coffee provided in room (but plenty of tea and chocolate)
First time I had traveled solo, staff couldn't have been more considerate and welcoming. It was nice to find somewhere that could take dogs too. We had a wonderful time.
Nothing negative at all
Well presented hotel; excellent restaurant; great bar and bar meals. Excellent location for exploring the village and this part of the coast.
Attentive and helpful staff Happy atmosphere. Good food.
Price of food somewhat expensive
The on-site restaurant The location of the hotel The comfort of the rooms The atmosphere and peacefulness of the setting Superb range of choices for breakfast Attentive, relaxing dinner service
Poor TV signal strength
Excellent turret room, comfortable bed and great views. Bar food was lovely.
Beautiful place to stay. Attention to detail. Food for our dinner and breakfast was superb! Great choices for the kids too. Would love to stay here again.
Wi-fi didn't work in our room, only in the lounge area.
The staff, Good in the pub, close to the sea.
The wi-fi was instable
I found it friendly and helpful with good service in the various areas eg reception bar room etc. The food was very good although a bit dear but I think Cornwall is quite dear anyway.
I originally booked two single rooms with mine having a bath and garden view. My friend gave six days notice before the deadline that she could not go. I was disappointed that I was given the room with a shower but I decided not to say anything as I guessed the other room was taken anyway. There was a lot of banging at night.
All of the staff were so helpful and friendly. Such a peaceful setting. Nice secluded beer garden areas. Good atmosphere and the hotel "stooped in history" as well . Great food especially the Lobster at such good value !.
Breakfast Dinner in both the hotel and pub
What a wonderful place to find after just meandering around Cornwall. We are two Kiwis from NZ on an overseas trip and whilst everyday was great this stop was super special. Amazing!! Staff were great!!
What would you find that we didn't like.
Great staff, easy parking, excellent food, clean & well presented room. It is a beautiful looking hotel & just as nice on the inside. The best part is that its not half way up a hill so its nice & easy to wander out on foot & look around Boscaste.
The staff were enthusiastic, helpful and friendly - wonderful in every respect Food was excellent - good enough to want to eat there all week
Was expecting a better room for the price so therefore thought it was over-priced. Have had better rooms for less money.
Breakfasts - excellent choice Staff - made you feel very welcome Situated right in the heart of the village Room although small - had everything needed
Could improve choice of bar menu Restaurant pricey - but well worth it - food outstanding.
We loved the staff. The location was amazing. Room was lovely, bed was comfy. Food was lush!
We like the position !!!
Shower was very fierce and not secure !!
We stayed for 3 nights in one of the "turret" rooms. Very spacious with a huge comfortable bed and a wonderful view from the 3 front facing windows. All spotlessly clean and well presented. We didn't eat in the restaurant because the bar meals are excellent and the atmosphere is great. The building and its history are so interesting but above all the staff are welcoming and helpful. The finest hotel we have stayed in the west country.
