I liked everything about this hotel, would definitely stay there again.
Only problem was the slamming of one of the fire doors close to my room.
excellent friendly helpful staff and service, they couldn't do enough for you. Food was nice although a little expensive, we ate in both the bar and the waterloo restaurant. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection. Great location, perfect for walking the coast path.
The hotel and the rooms were a little tired for the amount charged per night although the bathroom was nicely refurbished and had a bath and nice shower which was good.
Friendly and warm welcome from staff and locals. Everything we needed was close by and easily accessible, tea rooms, shops and local pub were excellent and very friendly staff greeted us. I truly wished we could have stayed longer, especially in this well positioned and comfortable hotel, so we will certainly be back!
Really enjoyed our stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful.Breakfast was lovely and also enjoyed the Real ales !
The only fault I could have was maybe an extra pillow, but I found one in the cubbard when we were leaving , so no problem.
Friendly clean and welcominh
hotel was steeped with history, warm welcome by staff, nice walk to the harbour also good coastal walks.
Everything. Staff very attentive. Food excellent. Comfortable lounge with great views. Nothing too much trouble.
Staff Well presented and stylish hotel Excellent dinner and breakfast Comfortable room Controllable heating
Friendly staff and wonderful food.
Kippers for breakfast, Location. Majority of staff are friendly.
meals - menu not always available ie no croissants or salmon for breakfast on day 3 of stay. and portions just acceptable. It was noted that a tray of eggs resided on the reception desk for the duration of our 3 day stay.
The hotel staff gave us a warm welcome from the moment we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. we will stay there again.
From arrival to departure every member of staff was efficient, cheerful and helpful. The bedroom was cosy but with everything I needed, the bar convivial, the staff attentive, the food excellent as was the story in the breakfast room. An experience I will be repeating, soon.
I was completely satisfied
My only advice would be : on booking in could staff advise smokers about the side door for early morning smoking .
The only problem is that the hotel needs soft close doors as it can become very noisy in the hotel at night if the hotel is busy apart from that the hotel is a lovely place to stay.
the place is brilliant. the staff are so good. you just cant have a a better time. so looked after. rooms are fab. dinners just great. this hotel should have more stars. this is a place to stay. xxs
the only thing i didn,t like was i had to come home. this hotel can not be faulted xxs
the whole atmosphere of the pub and boscastle was great and truly a gem hidden in the hills
only staying for one night
The ambiance, friendly staff and fresh home cooked food made our stay at The Wellington Hotel a pleasure. Situated in the center of an historic fishing village the Hotel takes one back to a time gone by whilst offering modern convenience and comfort. We never heard a staff member say "No". Take an evening meal in the Restaurant to experience the delight of Chef prepared dining at it's best. Spend some time reading the literature around the Hotel to learn of it's History. We will return.
The room The location The breakfast (apart from lack of fresh fruit) The bed
Fresh fruit? Black banana, spotty pear and 2x small apples, this spoilt a great breakfast. Noisy undisciplined young kids in next room (hardly the Hotels fault) Apart from a young lad who was nice and cheery, most other staff seemed pretty glum at breakfast.
Location Breakfast Staff Room
The staff were attentive without being over bearing. They were friendly and noticed little things to make our stay even better. We felt like a valued customer rather than a number. The food in the restaurant was the best we had ever tasted yet it was not the usual chef so the standards are incredibly high.
There was nothing to dislike
The food was good
Love The Welly. Love the staff. Love the food, love everything. We try to go every year. Keep up the good work and thanks for a fantastic stay. Carol and Rick (Winch)
Atmospheric hotel; comfortable lounge area; good selection of bar menu meals/snacks. Good breakfast
Room a little on the small side
location food breakfast
The Hotel was at the center of Boscastle near to other restaurants and a good pub.
The Hotel was overpriced and although the Breakfast service was good it wasnt that large. The Breakfast had 1 of Sausauge, rasher, mushroom , egg and tomatoe. Also the Hotel had various wi-fi hot spots which all came up as poor in my room.
