First time I had traveled solo, staff couldn't have been more considerate and welcoming. It was nice to find somewhere that could take dogs too. We had a wonderful time.
Nothing negative at all
Well presented hotel; excellent restaurant; great bar and bar meals. Excellent location for exploring the village and this part of the coast.
Attentive and helpful staff Happy atmosphere. Good food.
Price of food somewhat expensive
The on-site restaurant The location of the hotel The comfort of the rooms The atmosphere and peacefulness of the setting Superb range of choices for breakfast Attentive, relaxing dinner service
Poor TV signal strength
Excellent turret room, comfortable bed and great views. Bar food was lovely.
Beautiful place to stay. Attention to detail. Food for our dinner and breakfast was superb! Great choices for the kids too. Would love to stay here again.
Wi-fi didn't work in our room, only in the lounge area.
The staff, Good in the pub, close to the sea.
The wi-fi was instable
All of the staff were so helpful and friendly. Such a peaceful setting. Nice secluded beer garden areas. Good atmosphere and the hotel "stooped in history" as well . Great food especially the Lobster at such good value !.
Breakfast Dinner in both the hotel and pub
What a wonderful place to find after just meandering around Cornwall. We are two Kiwis from NZ on an overseas trip and whilst everyday was great this stop was super special. Amazing!! Staff were great!!
What would you find that we didn't like.
Great staff, easy parking, excellent food, clean & well presented room. It is a beautiful looking hotel & just as nice on the inside. The best part is that its not half way up a hill so its nice & easy to wander out on foot & look around Boscaste.
The staff were enthusiastic, helpful and friendly - wonderful in every respect Food was excellent - good enough to want to eat there all week
Was expecting a better room for the price so therefore thought it was over-priced. Have had better rooms for less money.
Breakfasts - excellent choice Staff - made you feel very welcome Situated right in the heart of the village Room although small - had everything needed
Could improve choice of bar menu Restaurant pricey - but well worth it - food outstanding.
We loved the staff. The location was amazing. Room was lovely, bed was comfy. Food was lush!
We like the position !!!
Shower was very fierce and not secure !!
We stayed for 3 nights in one of the "turret" rooms. Very spacious with a huge comfortable bed and a wonderful view from the 3 front facing windows. All spotlessly clean and well presented. We didn't eat in the restaurant because the bar meals are excellent and the atmosphere is great. The building and its history are so interesting but above all the staff are welcoming and helpful. The finest hotel we have stayed in the west country.
Stayed 7nights and everything was perfect I was even upgraded to a double room on arrival at no extra cost. I would comment that as there is no lift it may be difficult for people with difficulty managing stairs but for me it wasn't a problem.
Nothing, for me it was an ideal stay with perfect weather as a bonus!
All staff friendly, welcoming and always helpful. The bar and gallery an interesting feature, in fact the Wellington is a good example of a traditional English hotel. Great location.
A little disappointed with the meal in the restaurant, menu a little limited and did not change during the week we were there. Each dish was well cooked etc, but it's the details that count. On our main course the garnish, pea shoots were decidedly tired and certainly not fresh, as I say a detail, they should not have appeared. Breakfast was the normal offerings, well cooked, but a little frugal.
Friendly and helpful staff, excellent food, location, comfortable rooms
Nothing springs to mind
Location Breakfast Staff friendly Excellent rooms
Noisy birds outside front facing rooms Bit expensive Parking can be tricky
Every member of staff was professional, friendly and so welcoming. The hotel was very clean and comfotable, the food excellent
Staff were so friendly couldn't do enough for you
A great location with a great feel and very friendly and helpfull staff
Good location and nice old hotel. The garden is very peaceful. Great breakfast menu.
Limited evening menu. Better choice across the road in the Cobweb Inn.
