The Welly is a great place to stay. We've been here twice. Staff are friendly, rooms tastefully decorated, the beds are comfortable and there's amazing coffee in the rooms. Despite being over a pub it's actually quite quiet. It's a shame breakfast isn't included in the price.

Excellent room and high quality en-suite. Good food and drink It's a pub with VERY nice rooms but the staff don't seem to know how to check people in or out. I couldn't get a receipt despite being told it would be emailed and I chased again but no success.

The room & shower was perfect, modern & clean, couldn't fault it. I thought the room charge was expensive, I didn't eat there because I thought that was a little expensive too and the music from the bar did not really effect me but if I had to get up early it might had been a problem.

The room was immaculate and ultra modern.. Very unexpected for pub accommodation and more reticent of a luxury hotel in London. Bed was large and very comfortable and the linens were not budget. Bathroom was large and the shower was fab. It was a little cold during the night

Very comfortable and clean rooms... Up to date decor 4* hotel room over a pub. Excellent sound insulation in recently renovated rooms. Bath Ales full selection of 1st rate beers! Food is superb... in fact everything you want from a weekend break. Very close to Clifton area, but maybe too far from city centre of Bristol if you wanted to park and walk!

excellent bed, very clean room, good quality bathroom. Water didn't get hot enough for a good bath. There was no hairdryer in the room, nor was there any note saying to ask at reception for one. NO BREAKFAST INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF THE ROOM !

The Wellington is a real treat. The bar area is nicely laid out and spacious. The restaurant is a lovely bright area too, with plenty of room between tables making your dining a private experience. We stayed for breakfast which was perfectly cooked. But it's the bedrooms that are the real jewel in this crown. Beautiful!!! They are simply, but sumptuously fitted. Big fluffy quilts & pillows, Soft white towels in the bathroom. Immaculately clean. However the real gem is the sound proofing between the rooms & the pub below. We didn't hear a thing!! Highly recommended
