They saw I had crutches and moved me into another room on the first floor very happy and cared for D.w. short
lovely spacious comfortable room excellent facilities and good choices of food
Everything about it would definitely stay again
Excellent food and really quick service.
Room was too hot
The staff were really friendly and very helpful. the food was very good especially the breakfast. all the food was served quickly and arrived hot, good value for money. Really good location. We would certainly stay here again and recommend it to friends.
The room needed a lot of work done to it. There was a new toilet and wash hand basin, but the shower wasn't very good. You couldn't change the position and it seemed to point into the wall rather than over the bath. There was a lot of dust around the bath in the grouting. It all needed redecorating and updating. having said that it didn't spoil our stay.
Quiet location, lovely relaxing atmosphere, fab breakfast
No Onsite parking
central location for lots of bars, nice meal in hotel, friendly staff rooms lovely warm and clean good breakfast.
The cracks in the walls and ceiling in our room. The damp spot and peeling lining paper in the room. The food was shocking, we had a child's hamburger and the leather shoes i was wearing were more tender than the meat. No hot water, was only ever tepid at best! No main reception area. We had to wait while the person behind the counter took meal orders before we could check in. Generally, a pretty poor hotel. The rooms need an urgent remodel ie cracks filled, rooms need paint urgently and the hot water needs to be looked at so people can have decent showers or bath! Would not stay there again until repairs have been done.
Friendly Service, Good Menu and Food Great
Location Decent value for a hotel rather than B&B Breakfast
WiFi not very reliable on my floor TV - small screen - channels very limited - poor mounting meant the screen was hard to view from below so you had to stand to see it properly!
Cooked breakfast (a treat when away from home)
No hair dryer available. No television remote (took awhile to find the control panel) No information in room regarding breakfast times etc. (Luckily this was in my sister's and brother-in-law's room)
Staff great, room and breakfast lovely :)
No parking facilities
Good location staff helpful and food was fine with a good breakfast.
The rooms were clean but could do with a touch up of paint and a spot clean on room carpets for marks(though as said rooms were clean)
Nice lounge area with fire
Breakfast is gud, value for money
Hotel is bit old, more stairs, diff for elderly people.
Good breakfast, clean room, pleasant pub for drink in the evening.
No car parking. Extractor fan stayed on all night.
Good value for money, excellent Breakfast friendly staff what more do you want
A lot of Stairs to climb, for two pensioners and suit cases
good food and friendly staff. Dinner as well as breakfast.
No car park on the premises.
Breakfasts were very good. Beds were extremely comfy. Rooms were spacious and clean. Restaurant food was reasonably priced and good quality..
The parking situation.
The location was brilliant. The bed was comfortable.
Parking facilities were not great and entailed a short walk from public car park to Hotel and an additional charge for this. The rooms were a bit run down and could do with some renovation.
The staff, the warmth of the Hotel. The breakfast and breakfast staff.
The décor of the stair case and the bedroom, need to be upgraded. The bathroom floors need to be investigated, bathroom doors need to be checked for locks
Central location. Friendly staff , quick to offer assistance by carrying my suitcase up steep stairs to second floor.
No parking at hotel. Mattress on bed worn on one side Tiny bathroom. No lift.
We didnt like the shabby room, cracked walls & moldy patches
Location; ths ambience of a coaching inn; helpful staff; good food; cleanliness; well equipped room; a welcoming atmosphere.
Lack of dedicated parking, which couldn't be helped because of it being a listed building in a prime location. Our room was on the second floor and a stair lift would have been welcome. However the receptionist arranged for a member of staff to carry my luggage upstairs (appreciated)
