Good location, very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and cater for vegetarians well.
Large, clean room and very nice food in the bar downstairs
The second staircase is quite narrow
Kitchen had a technical fault. Coffee machine was out of order. Breakfast time they ran out if sausages. Floor wasn't level in the room!
Staff were excellent even when hard pressed. Delyth particularly was very helpful even when dealing with a disjointed family group for an evening meal. Shower was good, producing consistent temperature and pressure. Cooked breakfast was well done. Location of the hotel was good with all amenities within walking distance. For our purposes over the bank holiday the hotel, particularly its location suited our purpose. Despite its adverse issues we would stay there again.
Door to bathroom was faulty and was reported to staff, appears to have been faulty for some time. Basin plug in bathroom was difficult to use effectively. Staff were aware of the issue and tried to rectify it. Stairs to 2nd floor were steep and difficult to negotiate, particularly with luggage. Maybe direct booking with the hotel could deal with issues like this. We were notified about difficult parking but it was worse than we expected. The hotel looks tired and could do with some Tlc. Reception is also a bar.
Location service and food
Rooms and landings in need of a refurb. Our room was quite quaint with completely uneven sloping floors, but if you were slightly unbalanced you would have been falling over
freindly and helpful staff - bright comfortable rooms -good varied menu selection- perfect location for many attractions - would definitely stay again
Milk & sugar were not replenished one morning
centre of town clean and tidy pleasant staff
Reception and breakfast staff were great very friendly. Room clean and comfortable.
Would have preferred a room off the front so not on the main road. Also more tea and milk in the room.
This hotel is right in the middle of town but too noisy if you sleep in a front room we did not get any sleep because of the noise of young people who were noisy all night walking through the tiow when this stopped at 5 am the street clean lorries seem like they were cleaning outside our hotel for an hour the noise was very load
easy access to town
bedroom on top floor so very hot
Soft bed and rotten wifi
Excellent breakfast and bar
Great central location for the fantastic Brecon Jazz Festival.
No parking facility
Location, staff and service was great.
Decor a bit tired.
Double bed is too small, and the mattress is not firm enough
Hotel is in dire need of refurbishment
Good location central to all ammenaties
No parking, limited pay as you go but definitely no secure motorcycle parking There is a secure gated compound but the staff refused us access to as it was full of staff cars.
Location was excellent, right in the middle of Brecon, nice pub for food and drinks, not open late so didn't affect noise at bed time.Breakfast was nice and had a nice selection, and served until 10am which was a nice change as we didn't have to rush down for breakfast. Staff were all really friendly and helpful.
Did get a bit of street noise on the second night from people out late but think this might have been a one off. Beds were terribly hard so both had slightly aching backs afterwards!
No food available - arrived at 8:00 and although food was still being served I was not permitted to place an order as so many people had already ordered. Regarding breakfast - although £10 was taken off the bill - this was not served until 8am and I had to leave at 7:15. No alternative was offered. My room was right outside a taxi rank and at 3am Kieran would not get into the taxi.... and continued to refuse to do this for some time.
Staff were helpful
No hairdryer, Monday night and half the menu was unavailable, had to park outside on street and leave before 0900hrs otherwise had to pay. Informed the room was one of their delux rooms, hate to see a standard room.
Amazing location staff were wonderful gutted we had to leave deffo be goin back
the staff and the rooms
The room was clean, and the beds were really soft! The breakfast in the morning was really good and there was plenty to choose from. We also ate at the pub the night before and found the food to be great pub grub.
The only let down was the parking, as you had to pay and display a 5-10 min walk away.
On arrival couldn't find any staff to find out were the car park was !!! No car park available had to go to a public car park which was pay and display !!! Stairs to first floor lovely . On going through doors to second floor stair walls handrails all very sticky and dirty !!! Very small hot room very dusty . Outside the window was the kitchen extractor fan which was very noisy and smelly !!! No other room available for us to move into . Supplied with a fan that came from the kitchen very dirty and greasy. Breakfast was of poor quality . Seemed very under staffed very run down and neglected !!!!
