Reasonable value. Comfortable Bed

Hotel looking dated. Curtains in bathroom totally inadequate =no privacy, especially on loo. Would not suit us for long stay

The frount of the hotel was very pleasing as was the lobby.

Having to wait 15 mins to check in. The way the hotel changed from pleasing & well kept, to DHSS flop house, once you went through the glass doors on the first floor. The peeling paint, the grubby carpet in the corridoors, the decor of the bedroom (a bad copy of a Premier Inn) and the noise from the street all through the night.

Time spent at an old well-kept hotel leaves a sense of having met an elderly person of culture and memories. OK - creaky joints and rumbling waterworks, not obsessed with modernization but full of personality yet still able to cope in this modern newbuild world where one hotel can be so much like another.

Long wait for food on Wednesday night. They should have warned us. Having to mess about finding a car park.

Generally dirty and unkept. No incestive to return.

Location and convenience. Very relaxed atmosphere and food reasonably good value. Staff helpful and friendly.

TIles falling off bathroom wall & huge settlement crack in bedroom wall (no doubt a character feature !!!). Parking arrangements could be better thought out but didn't mind paying to park.

Everything to be honest for our requirements it was spot on.

The Wellington was good value for the money we paid. The building itself has a quaint charm about it. Whilst the decoration is a little tired in places, the staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was very good, particularly the breakfast.

Nothing really. It doesnt have its own car park, but parking close by wasnt a problem and not too expensive.

The cheap mattresses on the beds.

Food Was Ok

No Remote for TV (Told to get out of bed to change Channel but one was on order but was coming from Findland what a joke Wallpaper falling off walls Room was tilted so the beds were on an angle ie slopping floor. Toilets in Restaurant were dirty, locks missing from toilet doors, sink filthy, graffity everywear.

Nice hotel in a good location. Value for money

Breakfast was dreadfull. Staff were miserable and pushy when it came to check out and not very accommodating at check in

Great location for the visiting the Brecon Beacons Perfect location within the town, and a good morning breakfast Staff were friendly and accommodating

The bed was a bit hard

steep steep lots of stairs no lift, small room, no drawers to put clothes ,busy pub could not reserve or get a table to eat, radiator on wall at end of bed burnt foot

Bit run down & in need of a revamp. Our room smelt musty due to a damp patch on the wall & there was a HUGE crack down another wall. Could be a beautiful hotel after a bit of TLC.

Great value for money, good food both for breakfast and dinner in the bar at night. Staff very attentive and helpful at all times. We will stay again (usually second Saturday in the month for the Farmers' Market. Why don't you get together with them and offer a Farmers' Market deal for B&B on the Friday or Saturday night?

Disappointed to find a dirty bath and toilet in my daughter's room last stay, but this was a one off. Otherwise, a car park would be good but I can understand why you don't have one. Could you do a deal with the one just around the back of the hotel rather than the one at Aldi? It's a lot closer.

We had an executive room on the second floor. Very clean - decorated to a high standard. Smell of fresh paint - very good overall. We last stayed at this Hotel for our honeymoon 50 years ago and I wanted to recreate our trip. Staff excellent - Brains are doing a good job in renovation.

Second floor stairs was a bit of a problem for us old folk but breakfast was excellent.

There was a terrible smell eminating from the bathroom when we first checked in, this returned during the night and was that unbearable that we had to close the bathroom door and could not bear to use the loo. This had disappeared by the morning. I think it may have been coming from the plugholes.

Superb food. Friendly staff very clean and good value for money. Definatelly stay again

Lack of parking

Excellent Staff, good location.

Not the fault of hotel, a lot of noise from revellers in the street at night (we stayed in room at front of hotel at a weekend)

Room small, only one bedside cabinet. Room very dusty

Staff were very friendly and helpful when asking questions about the local area and facilities. Food service was excellent and the food very good. Plenty to choose from at breakfast, fast and efficient.

On arrival there were a few disappointments with the room. The toilet had not been cleaned adequately which we couldn't even do ourselves as there was no toilet brush available. Toilet paper had not been replenished either. The carpet had not been hoovered which was obvious and the bin in the main room had not been emptied, which contained food from previous occupant. Toilet door didn't close properly, never mind lock, and as we had our teenage daughter with us, became a small issue.
