Set in 2.5 acres, surrounded by moorland and unspoilt countryside, this charming property is a former 17th century Coaching Inn, full of character and warmth.

Between the towns of Bideford and Bude, on the North Devon Atlantic Highway, the Inn boasts a wealth of original features, open fireplaces and stunning views over the beautiful surrounding countryside. Furthermore, the property is equipped with a Carvery/Function Room and a cosy restaurant with original flagstone flooring and crooked beams.

In the evenings, after a long day of exploring the wonderful surroundings, you can relax in the Games Room or in the Lounge and Bar. In the warmer months, the Beer Garden is the ideal spot for a refreshing drink.

All meat and produce is locally sourced where possible, by nearby farms. The kitchen endeavours to use only the finest ingredients available for the homemade cuisine. The menu choices are fresh and varied to suit all preferences. Specialist diets can be catered for upon request.

The West Country Inn is located within 4 miles of the beautiful coastline and beaches; a haven for walkers and surfers alike. There are fishing lakes, canoeing and windsurfing all at Tamar Lakes, and an 18-hole golf course within 2 miles. Other activities include clay shooting, pheasant and game (seasonal). Sea fishing trips and boating can be arranged from Clovelly. Horse riding is also located within a few miles.

There are also theme parks nearby to keep the children entertained: The Milky Way (approximately 4 miles); and The Big Sheep (approximately 10 miles). Other attractions include the Historical English Heritage Village of Clovelley (5 miles away), Tintagel and Boscastle (approximately 30 minute’s drive away). A day trip to Lundy Island is also within easy reach.
