Set on the old coastal road between Newport and Cardiff, this former lighthouse offers unique accommodation with views over the Severn and Usk Estuaries and the Bristol Channel. Designed over 2 floors, plus the lantern room, the West Usk Lighthouse is a circular building with a spiral staircase running through the middle, with a wishing well at the very bottom. As a result, each room features a distinctive wedge shape. Not your most traditional hotel, at the bottom of the stairs you will also find a Dalek! Quirky, friendly and relaxed, the West Usk Lighthouse aims to offer a relaxing stay unlike any other. You can enjoy a session in the Floatation Tank, have a soak in the hot tub which is on the roof and be pampered with a choice of complementary therapies. Such a warm welcome from the proprietor. Very clean rooms, fantastic views. A satisfying breakfast. And the hot tub was great. It was a wonderful relaxing weekend away from the rat race. The lighthouse itself was stunning and tastefully restored. Altogether a super stay.

The lighthouse itself is truely beautiful - you can really see how much love has gone into bringing it back to life. My husband and I had a lovely very spacious room and the bed was incredibly comfy - I had the best nights sleep I've had in a long time. The hot tub on the roof with gorgeous views added a little extra something special to our trip it gave us a chance to relax. Breakfast was delicious. The lighthouse is a fantastic peaceful place and when you work in a very stressful environment full time this is a heavenly retreat to recover. I think when we come back we'll stay a couple days longer - we truely loved our stay we left very happy and chilled and would reccomend the west Usk lighthouse to everyone :) thank you so much x

Great personal service. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Taxis were booked, restaurants called and early breakfast provided when we need to leave early. We will definitely be making a return trip. Not a criticism of the hotel, but if you don't have a car it is a little out of the way and can only be reached by taxi. No bar/restaurant.

It is possibly to best b&b I have ever stayed in. The views from the cabin room, and also the upper Areas of the lighthouse our amazing. We slept with The shutters open. Frank, the owner couldn't do Enough for us. It may appear expensive, but Is well worth every penny

ist mal eine andere unterkunft. Wir hatten einen Aufenthalt mit Haustier gebucht, wurde uns dann aber vor Ort verweigert. Die Zimmer sind sehr renovierungsbedürftig.

Our hosts super friendly and accomodating, going way beyond the typical bed and breakfast. The lodging had a fanciful quality, making it fun for children and adults. It was a bit far from restaurants, if the visitor did not have a car.
