we had a great holiday.
Friendly staff and good breakfasts.
Had to go down two flights of stairs for shower.
We stayed in the four poster room which was divine, the bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom were spacious clean and homeley. The location was excellent with easy parking and the breakfast was very tasty, thankyou Leslie for a wonderful stay we were made to feel very welcome.
Very clean, great breakfast, friendly staff
Very dark entrance and electric lights seemed to be off most of the time especially in the toilet but it did not bother me that much
The breakfast was nice and I really liked our room. It was good value for money.
The hotel is run by just 1 person and she goes to bed at about 8pm, so they should not be advertising that there is a bar available. When we wanted a drink at 8pm, we had to ring the bell and she came down in her dressing gown and said that if we wanted more than 1 drink, we would have to have them all in 1 go straight away because she was going to bed. We then had to take the drinks to our room. We stayed for 2 nights and our room wasn't attended to at all. I wouldn't expect a change of sheets etc, but it would have been nice to have the towels changed and bins emptied.
The room was really nice and airy
The doors and windows rattled all night, and the breakfast was cold you weren't told that u had to make your own toast which didn't help having a cooked breakfast, the owner was friendly but could have explained things like if the var was open and about breakfast.
Location Parking Friendliness Food
Internet connection was difficult although owner is aware and tries to help
Quiet, but within a short walk to city center. Close to the Great Orme and amusement pier and promenade.
very clean and good food
Bed not comfortable at all. Could feel the springs. Could not get a room for family of 3. we had a double and a single room. Not mentionned by Booking.com when we did the booking. Room needs seriously to be better cleaned up. Sorry but hotel doesnt deserve the actual high rating unless they provide necessary improvements.
breakfast was very nice and the host was lovely
bedding was a bit grubby didnt like being put in the attic as we are pensions
Extremely clean. Breakfast 'suitable for vegetarians' provided.
No shower in the bathroom on the second floor.
Really lovely guesthouse, we stayed in Room 1, which was beautiful and spacious. With a four-poster bed and en suite bathroom. The guesthouse owners were very friendly and made us feel at home. The location was perfect, about 10 minutes from the pier/shops and bars/restaurants, but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet at night. Parking was brilliant, lots of space on the street itself, very safe. Its also about a 5 minute walk from the tram ride up to the Great Orme, an amazing day out. They also had a bar and comfy lounge to relax in if you didn’t fancy going out in the evening. Thank you for a lovely relaxing break : )
Nothing at all...
The interior decor of the hotel. The location was good and easy to find. Area outside to sit.
When we were shown where the room was and left to our own devices with no information even in the room as to facilities such as we had to find out where the dining room was. There were numerous guests who came and had noone to welcome them waiting in the lobby for around 45 mins. We had to ask for the wifi password which kept going down. The bar was only open when we finally got hold of someone which took ages. They need to do more dusting and hoovering under the bed. It is badly organised. We were unaware that there was a hotel cat which my wife was lucky to of had her alergy pills with her, and we are glad we didn't bring our daughter with us as the cot they provided was a very basic travel cot. The hotel let the holiday down, after saving for it. I told them it was my wifes birthday but they didn't remember. The owners don't seem to know much about the local area as my wife was roped into help tell other guests about the town. I also got a few knocks on our hotel room from arriving guests thinking we were in the office. We had to ask for towels.
Have stayed at the Westdale several times and it's always my first choice, loved the warm welcome greeted by name at breakfast, love the veggie English breakfast. Missing it already I will be back!
Dining room/Breakfast very clean and well presented. Breakfast good. Bedroom clean and bathroom very clean. Polite and pleasant owners.
Reception area very tired and unwelcoming - too dark and needs facelift badly. Four poster bed is not a good idea - room too small for this and very dark - not helped by dark maroon and gold décor ( depressing).
Nice location clean and tidy with very polite and friendly staff.
Everything was ok with this B and B .
the breakfast was nice but my 8 year old son got his on such a small plate it was falling off, why was he not treated the same as an adult?
the decor was shabby and very poor, paper hanging off walls, smell of damp, the photos are very deceiving.
The owners are lovely, pleasant and within easy walking distance of beach, close to bus route and quiet location. We have stayed here twice before and will definately go back again!
