Room was nicely furnished very clean with a lovely view onto the garden which was beautifully lit up at night bed very comfortable
The loos made a dreadful noise and the room would have benefitted from a comfortable armchair
Friendly staff, good facilities, clean rooms. Good value food.
Very noisy plumbing. Window blind in toilet extremely dirty when pulled down, room 3
The level of flies. Pretty noisy if you want an early night
Friendliness of staff, hotel position, cleanliness, menu choice in bar for meals.
Noise of toilet when filling.....needs a little adaption.
Location, within walking distance of Chatsworth for country fair weekend Staff were excellent Food was good
Somewhat overpriced for facilities, but it was Chatsworth fair weekend, so to be expected Restaurant food was good, but clearly the restaurant works on how many diners they can turn over. It felt a bit rushed
Friendly staff Rooms very good Cleanliness Ample parking Food excellent Garden area impressive Definitely stay again
There was nothing I didn't like other than the price going up as it was Chatsworth Country Fair
Situation. Outside seating areas
No tissues shampoo conditioner. Just soap dispensers. Small towels.
DIRTY ROOM WALLS (5 ). HOOVERING ROUND US WHILE EATING AT BREAKFAST.DIRTY(FOOD) WALLS IN BREAKFAST AREA , FILTHY SKIRTING BOARDS. TATTY THROUGHOUT PAINTWORK/WALLPAPER. DARK DULL AND DISMALL
Very friendly and helpful staff. Room very spacious and well equipped. Food in the pub very fast and efficient service and great quality.
Good location, breakfast was tasty, room clean.
Noisy toilet and shower. Window does not open.
Comfortable room. Very good staff. Great beers.
Traffic noise. Food could be better but breakfast good.
The food was fantastic.
The toilet was very noisy.
We loved the comfy bedrooms and friendly staff. The food was good, the atmosphere cosy and the garden was wonderful!
Staff very obliging, and polite, trying to make up for the buildings many structural problems from retro fitting a very old lovely building. Food and drink selection was very good. Beer garden at the rear lovely. Location was beautiful and great for Chatsworth house, Bolsover Castle and Hardwick hall ( with car). If you sleep like the dead the noise won't bother you.
The incredible noise from the plumbing pumps all day and night. The heavy traffic, resulting in noise and vibration of the building. The dreadful plumbing, shower drain backed up and stunk. Ensuite shabby. Stairs down from upper floor steep and narrow and back car park steps, steep and slippery in the wet. Bed linen wasn't very soft and no sheet only a heavy warm quilt which was too warm for the summer. Couldn't open the window was painted shut, room was warm.
Friendly and comfortable
Friendly staff arranged an early check in for us as we were attending a wedding. Rooms were also nice and clean. More than adequate for our needs
view from my window trees and flowers and birdsong proximity to the Care Home I was visiting to see an elderly uncle. good food friendly ambience Derbyshire voices . . took me back to childhood when every summer holiday was spent in Bakewell, nearby.
noise from vehicles taking a fork in road changing down a gear chuntering up the road.
Spotlessly clean. Friendly staff. Good value meals
Noisiest hotel room we have ever stashed in because of heavy traffic well into the night and again from 4.30am! Double glazing ancient and useless room stifling ...the heatwave not your fault.....needs a fan at least
Road noise, lack of air conditioning. Food menu
Great location and within walking distance of Chatsworth house. Lovely room, good size and internet connection excellent. Breakfast was very good.
Noisy road but this is unavoidable
