A lovely hotel in a beautiful little town near the border of England and Scotland. We had a first floor room but the staff helped us with our luggage. Dinner was great and the hotel has won awards for its restaurant. Breakfast was also excellent with an extensive menu. |

everything was superp and relaxing, no complaints,Im sure we'll return. All food was loveley, and the staff were very friendly and helpfull. |

I was given an overflow room at the hotel, which was actually a very quaint 1 bedroom cottage, a stones throw from the hotel. The staff were friendly and the cooked breakfast was very good. |

The Wheatsheaf was excellent The Wheatsheaf accepted my booking, then phoned to tell me that it was full for one of the nights but that they would book me into another hotel for that night for the same price. They assured me it was equivalent in quality, however the room at the hotel they booked me into, the Allanton Inn, was tiny and no-where near the same standard as the Wheatsheaf. I felt somewhat ripped off over this. |

The room (in the annexe) was of a very high standard and extremely comfortable. Despite having booked dinner well in advance, we were initially put on a table in the bar. After complaining, we were moved into the main restaurant. |

Room (No 1) was spacious and comfortable. Hotel was quiet so good nights sleep. Shower was spacious - we are both tall so this is important ! Breakfast was excellent. |
