Grasmere House is just a short walk from Salisbury and offers superb cathedral views. The fine Victorian house is situated on the banks of the rivers Avon and Nadder, and surrounded by mature gardens.

not a lot
bathroom not aas clean as last time
Friendly, no frills Good breakfast Walking distance to excellent Wilton House Could do with a bit of modernising rooms
Traffic noise Dirty , stained and ruffled carpet in Bedroom, Crumbs from previous resident remaining on bedside table. Generally run down.
Location and ambience
Filthy, smelly and noisy.
The people were very nice. The location was good with very good parking.
The overall impression was that the whole facility was going down hill and needed a lot of investment. It was not what is expected in an English Pub Hotel. ie A lively environment in the evening. There were no locals in the bar.
The location is good. The staff are so kind, nice and friendly. I really enjoyed my stay there. The service is superb. Thank you so much for the very warm welcome.
There is nothing that I didn't like. Keep up the good work.
Good cooked breakfast
Don't get wifi in my room.
Within walking distance of Salisbury. Breakfast was ok.
On a very busy road so tricky to drive out of car park. Room really shabby and couldn't even make a cup of coffee in the room as kettle was disgusting. Room was right beside stairwell, so noisy when other guests coming and going
The location of this b+b is good, set on a small river with outside drinking area. Wilton itself is a lovely little town I can highly recommend a small pub called 'the bear' for a good Pint with friendly locals we were made to feel very welcome. For food I would recommend the greyhound, again just down the road from wheatsheaf and near to the bear, exceptional food at reasonable prices (ask for the specials menu ;-)). The staff were friendly and there was ample free parking.
Unfortunately on our visit the pub was suffering issues with their draft lager (warm and flat) a substitute couple of bottles were offered but these were out of date hence our trip into the town centre (300 yards). The cooked breakfast was nice even though it contained the world's smallest sausages about the size of a meat ball , literally!
Very warm welcome, which actually turned what would have been an overall fair review into a good one. Very warm welcome which actually turned a fair review into a good one. Generous portions of food, the shove'apenny was fun !
The only downer was I had blue steak brilliantly cooked which cried out for a robust red . The only red in the place was an open bottle and although not ideal the Italian Pinot Grigio (white !) hit the spot
Mine host was very helpful with our unexpected health difficulties.
Room too small for a couple. Very noisy with traffic.
Helpful friendly staff. Nice location andnice village
Welcomed immediately. Amazing food and in credit friendly staff. Steve made the evening!
Busy road so it was a bit loud trying to sleep.
Steve was so friendly it made me feel at comfortable. Nice location.
Bit of road noise
Welcome by landlord/staff. Breakfast and evening meal excellent. Good parking.
Poor shower in rather neglected bathroom.
Friendliness of staff Location by the river Back garden
Sash window in bedroom was faulty. Traffic very noisy all night The real ale was poor quality
Steve & Tara were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Food was good
lots of traffic noise through the room window
The food and drink were very well priced and you get a lot for your money
The main road with headlights going straight into your room at night as your room was a bend on the road
We didn't like the pub at all, it was tired and dated. The owner didn't seem bothered about his guests. We did not sleep there so he was making £80 just for breakfast. There was no appearance from the owner at breakfast. It was a total rip off. I would not stY there again and recommend other people do not.
The breakfast - a good choice and a friendly and helpful member of staff.
The cleanliness of the family room including ensuite. Cob webs, many, on ceiling, damp on ceiling, dirty clothes under the bed, not found until the morning! Broken bed frame on single bed. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows and pillow protectors had seen better days! There were thick layers of dust on the mirror, door frames and on the hearth. There was no stair gate on the very steep stairs and this would be an issue if young children were staying. This is of particular importance as the room is advertised as a 'family room'. As we arrived late in the evening some of this was not noticed. We reported these issues to Steve in the morning who said that these issues would be dealt with as there was a new member of staff but we were not offered any compensation and the room was certainly not worth the cost! I would not recommend anyone to stay at this establishment until such times that issues were addressed.
Steve, the host was very friendly and accommodating. The room was of an excellent size for a family. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Very easy to find.
I would have liked to have seen a stairgate available to protect the children from the precarious stairs within the room. Beds a little uncomfortable but then i realise that mattress taste are a personal thing. Decor a little tired.
The Steak I had was fantastic and the Breakfast too - Nice Gentleman running it.
