The staff are pleasant Only a couple of miles into town (although too hilly to walk comfortably)
No shower in the room annoying Room a little tired - Perhaps not quite a £150 a night place.
The Wheelwrights is in a very peacful location. Good standard of room and very spacious. We did not stay for an evening meal but wish we had, as comments from others staying said is was great. We did have breakfast, which was very nice.
Unfortunately we stayed in a grond floor room and the only thing that spoilt it was the creaking floorboards from the room above. It got a bit too much in the end as you could hear every foot step!
I looked at loads of hotels to stay in while in bath, this place is perfect and a great price.
lovely location great to return to after busy bath
Hidden gem outside Bath in countryside. Perfect for a B&B as a base for the local area; with Bath being a 10 minute drive away. Nice garden to relax in and stunning views of countryside. Staff were friendly, relaxed and made me feel welcome. Great to have tea and coffee making facilities in room. Lovely restaurant for dinner. Great place would stay again.
Restaurant food very good. Breakfast in morning excellent
Restaurant music was all jazz.
Perfect bedroom and bathroom. Roses in room, free chocolate cake in entrance. Good breakfast & very friendly staff. Quiet room in converted barn block. Lovely scenery from bedroom.
Had to wait a bit too long for cooked breakfast. Quite difficult to find hotel as we don't have satnav.
Friendly staff Good quality home cooked food Nice quiet location
Room was very nice, and had a large bathtub - bliss!
There was a room above ours which you could hear (due to the wooden flooring)
Everything about it!
Everything; location close to the town but very rural setting, excellent food, real ale, beautifully appointed room, friendly staff.
Friendly staff Good breakfast
We only stayed one night and ate in Bath but the brekkie was lovely, staff were very sociable, we had a drink in the bar and chatted happily to the residents of the local little village. Delightful place, nice rooms, if we go back to Bath would certainly stay again
Lack of shower in the room, had to get taxi in to and back from Bath, as although it is only 2.6 miles it is very hilly and quite a remote location, so need to factor that in, around 25 quid for return journey
Lovely location. Very helpful staff. Excellent room. Would definitely return and would recommend to anyone.
My husband and I loved the hotel the location, our room, the food, the staff were very friendly and polite, nothing was too much trouble for them and we would definitely stay here again
Food was first class both at Dinner and breakfast and accommodation was good.
The shower over bath was not enclosed Wi fi was poor in room
Dinner excellent, service friendly, large room, beautiful views. Would definitely come back for return visit.
Wi-Fi not great, and shaver socket didn't work but otherwise all good really.
Excellent food, short taxi to Bath, fantastic rural location, hike, bike, boat and bus options, rooms large and bed comfy.
No shower in ensuite, but a handheld over the bath (come on, who doesn't put a shower in an ensuite room these days?). breakfast underwhelming (boiled eggs were lost in the egg cup!), and overall not great value for money
Lovely location. Very friendly, welcoming staff. Excellent food and a huge bathroom!
The floorboards on the room above were noisy as other guests walked on them but did not detract from a wonderful weekend
Quiet location, good food, friendly staff
Pillows smelt foul and were flat. Floor was dirty with a nail protruding from floorboards. Bathroom bin had a broken lid, there was no outlook from room - just one high small window facing the kitchen equipment.
The price was much too high (300 pounds for two nights)
We had a excellent Sunday lunch and stayed overnight very comfortable followed with a lovely breakfast, looking forward to our next stay already.
The traditional English atmosphere
The bathroom was not properly cleaned and comfortable. The beds were quite worn out.
younger staff members were extremely helpful, polite, nothing was too much trouble.
meals there were quite expensive and there wasn't a huge selection. Owner was a bit patronising.
Location superb with lovely garden and good food!! Room was very specious and the bathroom is charming. Staff was very helpfull, good bus connection to Bath. Loved the coffee, cookies en candy in the room.
