Breakfast was ok !
Bedroom decor was Awful all the walls were heavenly stained bathroom very cold no heating only a towel rail bathroom window didn't shut properly soap dispenser empty bedroom was warm pillows very lumpy asked for extra pillow and replacement pillows never happened !! Windows very dirty. Ask for another room was told the hotel was full.
The atmosphere was great in this beautiful old building. The room was modest but very comfortable with air conditioning, bath/shower, tv and tea making facilities.
While not a huge problem the remote control for the tv was missing and in it's place was a photo describing it's various functions!.
All the floors creak
Room fine, bathroom with real bath a bonus, price good
Bar area rather run-down and unattractive
Care and consideration of all staff
bathroom and bed Location Free car-parking For the price, overall reasonable Online booking effeicient
Bar area and the bedroom were shabby and gloomy - two pictures of Buckingham prison! Atmosphere of neglect. No draught ale available
Comfy, clean, great staff. Lovely breakfast once we'd sorted a couple of issues out (no boiling water for tea and overdone sausage)
Central location within a town. Food in the hotel/pub is good for the price. Good beer and Camra friendly.
Obviously not easy to keep fully clean and in need of some painting in places. No hairdryer.
Central location. Room clean! Low prices and good value.
Difficult parking; decor in a time warp; pub basic menu. Whole place is very tired and could be very good , given location, with a total make over! Money needs spending on the place.
Very noisy floors, plumbing and people.
Generally OK for one night. Evening meal was good value
The whole place is tired, tatty paintwork.
Good value and excellent staff
Nice, large room, overlooking the main square.
Food was cheap but disappointing
Central to town. Staff friendy.
Arrived in room at 4.30 a pile of dirty bed linning & towels were left in side the door way.Reading light & 1 wall light not working.Cold bath tap not working. Curtains hooks missing on part of rail.Net curtains very creased.NO shelf in bathroom.Bed very uncomfortable only one pillow each. NO spoon on tea tray.Parking difficult. Would not stay here again
Convenient location for myself and my family for the weekend as we were attending a wedding
Disappointed that a hairdryer was not provided. Concerned that although housekeeping provided clean towels each morning, beds were not made and litter bins in the bedrooms and bathrooms were not emptied at all through the duration of our three night stay.
Friendly and attentive staff. Quiet room.
Rather tired decor and really creaky floorboards.
Central with a car park, although car park was very small.
Good position in town
Run down, tatty decoration, load of layabouts as you entered hotel..mould thick on window frames,
Location to Milton Keynes ,competitive price for room, pub meal ok
Room small and understand why windows were open when we arrived because horrible musty smell in room possibly from mould on bathroom wall.Hotel generally run down ,decor particularly ,needs a revamp badly.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful. . I did not have the breakfast as I had to leave prior to the serving hours however the evening meals are very good and very reasonably priced. Compared to the accommodation available in the Milton Keynes area I found this to be the best value in general the standards of the accommodation to be equal to if not better than the higher priced accommodation in the vicinity.
Nothing not to like.
Excellent location, very helpful staff Free parking Nice looking old building with character
Steep stairs to get to the room. Noisy doors. Water puddles on bathroom floor
cleaness value for money fairly big rooms kattle for tea/coffee in the room breakfast in buckingham center
no/very poor wifi in the room kind of old, need bit of restructuring bit noisy hotel on top of the pub
For what I need for a trip to Buckingham the hotel is somewhere I will use again. Because I was working in the local area the hotel was good to come back to every night.
The parking was sometimes difficult
It was located conveniently in the centre of Buckingham. Voucher provided for free parking.
Heavy damp marks in corner of bedroom ceiling. Curtains off rail and not able to draw. Leak behind toilet. Light above basin not working. Toilet seat slipped from left to right. Lunchtime menu ingredients unavailable. Cheese sandwich was two slices of unbuttered bread with grated cheese. Ordered drinks had to be chased as did cutlery.
Cold room, poor breakfast
