The room was quiet but the acess is strange because it is through a pub.
Large comfortable bed Remote control air con system, Delicious food, Extremely friendly and helpful staff, Beautiful location, Lovely history of the building explained in a book in the room.
I have notheing bad to say regarding this hotel!! We will definitley be back!
Being a resident didn't give priority simple thing like wanting to finish my drink as a resident and made to leave at same time as locals.
It's a good clean hotel good facilities friendly staff easy to find good size rooms
U can't connect to wifI that easy when in room
location. good price.
the bed was very uncomfortable. two side lights didnt work. Air conditioning cannot not be lower to a certain level. and the toliet doesnt seems as clean as it could have been. The floor seems a little sticky.
The staff were pleasant and friendly, the breakfast was well cooked and plentiful.
The room was small and dark, the curtains were hanging off the hooks and the nets needed to be ironed. There was no plug in the washbasin. The supposedly private parking was a nightmare, it was very small, you were very lucky if you could actually get a spot to park. Admittedly it is a very old building but it could do with a refurbishment to brighten it up.
Staff were all superb over our 2 day stay.
Boiling water to make tea at breakfast would improve an otherwise excellent set up.
The staff kindly moved us to a quieter room way up in the roof of the building! The food was OK accepting it was a pub!
Small rooms, creeky floor boards, and due to the location, quite noisy.
Proper pub with a homely feel
food and staff very good
lovely old building but could do with a refurbishing
Staff had lovely manner, like they did actually care. Mixed grill was outstanding, very well done chef. Room good, bed gave full night's support of unbroken sleep, bathroom clean. Breakfast was spot on, made to order, can't get better than that.
As hotel was built before motor vehicles were designed, car park small; fine enough if you can forgive this one characteristic.
On arrival we got a room on the second floor. As my husband is not too good with stairs, we asked if this could be changed. We received a much bigger room on the first floor without any problems or extra cost.
Without the staff my stay at The White Hart would have been a disaster.
Decor in communal areas was very poor and only marginally better in the bedrooms. Hotel is in dire need of a "makeover" and a small bit of redesign which would not be to costly for the owners. The hotel part should be better separated from "the Bar" which dominates the ground floor.
Small but comfortable beds, super showers, plenty of hot water, room TV easy to operate, Food excellent and breakfasts very good value for money served by very pleasant breakfast staff. Bar food good as was bar service.
Stairs up to 2nd floor, very steep and tiring! The fact that we were only allowed one door key per room, Would stay again but 1st floor only.
Very nice place! Very closely and good value for money
Can't think of any thing
AirCon was really welcome, great food and beer, personally cooked breakfast. Great VFM. Will be going again.
Staff were friendly and helpful as if nothing would be too much trouble. I liked the WiFi access and the ability to set up and do some work at my desk. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great, once I'd worked it out.
The place is badly in need of a makeover. There was a musty smell as if there had just been a giant flood. The decor was looking really tired.
Friendly staff good food clean rooms friendly atmosphere
Paid for parking not knowing that it was free if you stayed over, could do with a sign or note on web site letting people know
This is a pub with rooms - rather then a 'proper' hotel.. Dull. Very poor car parking area.No grab handle in shower.
Very friendly staff. Good Value for money . Ideal for a nights travel stop.
Small niggle Window was broken &curtains hanging off
The staff was friendly. The room clean and air conditioned on a very hot day. The food seemed to be the best around. Part of what is charming might not suit others: the floor are uneven, not much is really straight, but staying the White Hart you have stayed in an authentic bit of history.
My room was a bit dim unless the sun shone very brightly, and I really couldn't open the window because it opened out onto other air conditioners. But, there are the things that happen in retrofitting an ancient building.
Very welcoming staff - plenty of hot water, fresh white towels, TV and air conditioning, location in centre of town. Excellent breakfast, good value for money.
Décor very tired, overall cleanliness could be improved, parking in public car park not purely for hotel residents.
Staff were vvery friendly and welcoming. Right in town centre. Breakfast is freshly cooked and very tasty.
Car park not big and not for sole use of residents. It's a pay and display for which you get a voucher.
Location, staff, room comfort, breakfast
parking a bit limited, breakfast took slightly long to come, but was freshly cooked !
