The room was not good I could not stand up in the bathroom, it was very poor in the eves of the roof. The worst I have ever used.
Good location, comfort, food & value for money.
Lovely room, food was excellent and resasonabley priced rooms comfy and clean.Parking and quiet..Would definately recommend.
There was a domestic going on down stairs at 3am,,,a bit unfortunate.
Arrived early for a family function ,the staff were more than helpful to get us in a room.
Pub nicely appointed. Quiet room appreciated. Good, varied breakfast.
Bathroom freezing; insufficient heater. Had to walk outside from bedroom to access bar/restaurant. Only one double power point - near the floor! Difficult to power up tablet, phone etc as TV used up one socket.Had to boil kettle on carpet. Staff, apart from Housekeeper, uninterested in providing warm welcome.
Breakfast and service was good. Rooms and toilet need modernisation.
Wifi although free was weak and therefore of no use.
Everything.. Friendly staff, great food and excellent accommodation and good value
Easy to find, convenient for Amersham crematorium. Good menu and evening meal. Good breakfast.
The barmaid seemed to do all jobs from bar / reception/ restaurant + work all hours but she was lovely.
The hole in the bathroom floor covered over with Lino. It was like being drunk without a drink !!
Location. Friendly staff Free Wifi
Not a big fan of the sloping roof of the single rooms. One shower door not hanging properly, even after reporting it to a member of staff. No screen on roof window (would be a problem later in the year)
Good value for money
Bar had only one choice of draught beer
the staff couldn't help us enough. Thank you
Clean, warm well appointed rooms. Helpful staff
No decaf coffee/tea
Bathroom was not very good looked tired needed refurbished Breakfast was not very good
Staff Location Price Convenience
Bathroom a little small, low ceilings Breakfast was good but could have been excellent with a few small adjustments The above comments are meant as a constructive criticism and these minor quibbles did not impact greatly on the enjoyment of our stay
For £40 a night you cant go wrong warm room, comfy bed, good TV signal.
No WiFi signal in rooms but thats the same at many places. Only thing they could do with a toilet brushes in bathroom or at least someone giving them a good scrub for new guest. The Brown limescale marks are not welcoming.
the bed, the size of rooms
Washing facilities need modernizing
Breakfast very good
Real Beer selection not very good toilet flor a bit spongy thought it might collapse.
Comfy bed. Friendly staff at the bar. Nice bar area. Nicely set out.
We were given the wrong time for breakfast, which meant we didn't have time to stay and have it and got up early to then wait an hour to be able to pay our bill, which made us late leaving Someone let us into the building at 7.45. I think he thought we were staff as he opened the door and walked off slamming the door behind him. We got to the bar and stood for over 5 minute with no one around. Someone then appeared obviously not happy we were in the building before 8 by the way he looked at his watch. Squeaky floorboards. Cobwebs in room.
the staff, the food and the place was very clean.
The WiFi network was extremely poor reception. I'm allergic to electric heating and was sleeping with the heating off.Central heating would have suited me better.
The price with Breakfast was very good value for this part of the country. Staff were friendly and efficient. The bedrooms set apart from the pub works really well, and were comfortable, very clean and well appointed.
At this price point, no complaints. Much better value and comfort than a chain hotel
Really good value for money. Comfortable rooms, decor perhaps a bit tired and in need of updating.
Cooked breakfast wasn't very hot.
Staff very friendly - John & Lorraine particularly. Good substantial breakfast - keep you going all day. Very comfortable bed. Very quiet - not a sound at night. convenient for our purposes (visiting family ten minutes away in Amersham).
We arrived very late at night - 11.15pm and stayed in Chalet no. 7. The light outside the door wasn't very bright - in fact, we didn't even know there was a light there until the following morning! the light in the hallway, inside the door, was also not working and I had difficulty finding where we had to go. Once we found our way in the first place, we had no difficulty after that. I asked 'John' to replace the bulb in the inside porch - or to leave a bulb for me to change myself, (as I am an electrician) as this was the weekend, and I knew there would be difficulty and expense, calling out an electrician, but no bulb was changed or left out.
