Washing facilities need modernizing
Breakfast very good
Real Beer selection not very good toilet flor a bit spongy thought it might collapse.
Comfy bed. Friendly staff at the bar. Nice bar area. Nicely set out.
We were given the wrong time for breakfast, which meant we didn't have time to stay and have it and got up early to then wait an hour to be able to pay our bill, which made us late leaving Someone let us into the building at 7.45. I think he thought we were staff as he opened the door and walked off slamming the door behind him. We got to the bar and stood for over 5 minute with no one around. Someone then appeared obviously not happy we were in the building before 8 by the way he looked at his watch. Squeaky floorboards. Cobwebs in room.
the staff, the food and the place was very clean.
The WiFi network was extremely poor reception. I'm allergic to electric heating and was sleeping with the heating off.Central heating would have suited me better.
The price with Breakfast was very good value for this part of the country. Staff were friendly and efficient. The bedrooms set apart from the pub works really well, and were comfortable, very clean and well appointed.
At this price point, no complaints. Much better value and comfort than a chain hotel
Really good value for money. Comfortable rooms, decor perhaps a bit tired and in need of updating.
Cooked breakfast wasn't very hot.
Staff very friendly - John & Lorraine particularly. Good substantial breakfast - keep you going all day. Very comfortable bed. Very quiet - not a sound at night. convenient for our purposes (visiting family ten minutes away in Amersham).
We arrived very late at night - 11.15pm and stayed in Chalet no. 7. The light outside the door wasn't very bright - in fact, we didn't even know there was a light there until the following morning! the light in the hallway, inside the door, was also not working and I had difficulty finding where we had to go. Once we found our way in the first place, we had no difficulty after that. I asked 'John' to replace the bulb in the inside porch - or to leave a bulb for me to change myself, (as I am an electrician) as this was the weekend, and I knew there would be difficulty and expense, calling out an electrician, but no bulb was changed or left out.
Most things. Very clean Very tidy Good shower Great towel sizes Great breakfast Chippy next door ! ! !
Rain ! ! ! No basket meals Rain No fresh boiled water for the tea Rain
Choice of food especially the breakfast, was very good, presentation was very good and no problems with the quality.
Room no 3 central heating was extremely hot and I tried to turn the radiator down without success. Got up at 2:45 am and opened windows. WiFi, please don't advertise something that is so awful. Spend your money on a decent setup!
Location was great and excellent value for money.
Very poor wifi made it impossible to pick up Emails etc...
Breakfast with fresh fruit, good coffee, youghurt naturel, good choices on eggs ect.
Dinner didn't seem to be freshmade or homemade. Too much "we deep fry everything to heat it up" kind of food.
the helpful smiley staff very comfortable bed large bedroom reasonable price good food
very noisy dining room due to wooden floors and high ceilings
Room and bathroom with eaves on which I repeatedly hit my head, useless email connection, cooked breakfast with too much oil.
the staff were excellent at this hotel. couldn't do enough for us. breakfast and dinner were excellent. room was clean and bed very comfortable . Yes we would go back again and yes we would recommend it
we did say we could have done with a second chair had we asked the staff earlier they would have done this
The breakfast and dinner menu's offered super choices.Breakfast of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was delicious,as was the baked haddock with a cheese sauce covering with new potatoes and peas for dinner.Required no seasoning, excellent.
Quiet rooms. Good parking, excellent breakfast, hassle free check in. Very friendly.
Food good, great choices for breakfast better selection than some 4 star hotels. Freshly made meals. Staff very helpfull. Accommodation is in separate cottages at rear of pub and ours was recently decorated.
The main pub was tired and needs updating.
Not a lot . Tripping up in a dark hall over a big bag of linen( no bulb.) floor bathroom, rotten . Very tied
Food and restaurant
No wifi!!! Sat in room bored
No frills or anything else. Eat, sleep, pay, leave. Which is fine, if that's all you expect.
Location for our visit was good. The bed was comfortable and in a quiet spot.
Classed as a superior room I can't imagine what a standard would be like. The room was uninviting and extremely basic with no warmth. The bathroom smelt damp and there was mould on the wall. The staff were friendly but I would not return.
Great service, very friendly, with good food
There was nothing I disliked about this hotel
