borrowed an iron which had some residue on it and only noticed it when I had almost ruined my shirt...

The location is excellent. Super food.

Everything - Hotel itself was lovely including decor. Rooms had everything you could need including hairdryer.

It was comfortable, Good English Breakfast. Dinner was most enjoyable. The staff were excellent. The situation of the hotel was perfect

The tap on the shower was very stiff and was very difficult to turn on and off.

Good central location, reception areas nice.

Bathroom was filthy had stains all over a blind and broken tray with toiletries, lets down the 4 star rating, we didn't check in til late as rooms not ready and we had a conference to attend, only 1 night or would have asked to be moved, emailed hotel no reply as yet!

Location was perfect and the pub had best real ales!

Beautiful breakfast and breakfast room, lovely attached bar great parking facilities.

The cold plates upon which our otherwise tasty kippers were served at breakfast.

The small double room was nice. Bathroom was good. Bed linen was very good as were the towels etc

The food was very inconsistant, starter OK, pudding v good, main course (beef) inedible and the cheese board very average and the biscuits dreadful (no selection other than the cardboard "thins")

Well refurbished old style hotel with large lofty rooms. Excellent decor in public rooms. Ideal central position in town centre

Exorbitant price for breakfast (£12.75). Faulty TV (probably the remote control) Housekeeping failed to clear tea-pot and cups.

Had a problem with our original room which was fixed immediately on complaint. Excellent response from the staff in a friendly and profesional manner. This was our second stay in a fortnight. Hotel is ideally placed for exploring Harrogate.

The bedroom was spacious and the bed comfortable.

The WiFi was very poor in the room. It couldn't be used because the signal was so weak.

Shoddy room with a stone wall across the window!

My adult daughter and I went to Harogate to see my niece (17) we wanted a family room for 3, as my niece joined us for a sleep over. I was really supprised as we had 1 large double with an ajoining twin room. The space was amazing and there where 2 tv's a real plus. It only took a quick call to reception to have the heating turned on and if you asked for things they got done quickly. The parking is well worth the £5.00 per day and is plentiful.The location is great just down the hill from the town and Bettys tea rooms. OUr view was lovely.

The staff where indiffernt. We wanted to treat our selfs to afternoon tea, but where really disappointed. The scones were rock hard burnt and really dry. I did complaint as my daughter and I both bake but it ruined our experince. There was a huge fat spider in our room when we got there. One of the main lights had a blown lamp. The staff did replace it once it was pointed out but I would expect a room to be ready. The bed was really hard, not just a lillte but seriously hard. I would stay again but I won't eat here now, which is a shame as the reviwes I had read are really good.

Small room (moved to larger room the second night), poor function of shower fixtures (hard to get the temperature correct)

Lovely old hotel. Good atmosphere and stylish design.

There are steps up to the car park and it cost £5 per night which wasn't clear when I booked.
