Very friendly and helpful Staff. Good food, choice of real ales Really nice bedroom and modern en-suite. Large TV.
A beautiful location but a few miles out in the country.
The excellent quality in every respect- staff, bedroom, cleanliness, food, furnishings, style and location
The hotel was lovely & the staff was friendly,we eat in the bar/restaurant & the service was exalent.look forward to going back
The renovation is beautiful, very tasteful and the rooms are clean, tidy and modern. Loved the fact we could just come back from our walk, shower and just walk downstairs to the dining area. The bar / restaurant is well organised and overall the food was of a high quality, although the menu was a bit short on choice. Would definitely recommend and compared to some other places we have stayed thought that good value for money...with a deliciously fresh cooked breakfast to set us up for the day.
Air conditioning required lots of faffing about and as a result we were either too cold or too hot!
Nothing to complain about
No real comfortable sitting area in bar/lounge for occasional drinker. All focused on diners
Can't fault it. Probably the best B&B we've stayed at, certainly can't think of a better one.
Absolutely nothing! I was actually looking round to find something I didn't like but I couldn't think of anything I would want to change.
Food was excellent and the interior was stunning
Toilet roll not in wall
The decor and furniture was beautiful I have even looked into buying some of that same furniture because I love it that much.
If I had to pick at anything I would say there needs to be more on the menu especially more steak choices.
Great Value for Money. Modern, Clean and Tidy Room Wi-Fi worked well. Lovely Bar Area. Food wasn't the cheapest, but it is very nice Nice cooked Breakfast
Easy to locate and park. Staff were happy, welcoming and had a sense of humour. Food was very good, served fresh and hot with a smile. Checkout was again speedy and efficient with a friendly approach. Daily newspapers were available at breakfast. Room was very nice, large and immaculately presented.
The hotel entrance to reception was not immediately apparent ( needs clear sign) and meant walking through the restaurant which I always feel is a little rude to the diners - could do with separate access. Wifi failed to work given the supplied password but didn't over-hinder as had own dongle. Bathroom needs a light over the basin and an extendable mirror to assist those with contact lenses - too dark!
Bedroom and food in the restaurant
The heating system in the room was complex and we would have benefitted from some written instructions!
Everything, Rooms modern and luxurious and the bar and restaurant is very pleasant and with excellent food
Thought I would treat my husband to a night away before he goes in hospital, and wow, what a great choice. Arrived to a warm welcome and taken to our room, which unknown to us was the bridal suite, the deluxe room. Not bad after 13 years of marriage!! It was decorated to a very high standard and the jacuzzi bath was just amazing. Tea,coffee and complimentary biscuits were in our room for us also, which was a nice added thought. Staff were all very helpful and courteous, nothing too much trouble. Evening meal and breakfast the following morning was excellent. Without a doubt we will be back for a longer stay in a few months after my hubby's op and will highly recommend The White Hart Inn to anyone. Mandy
Location, room , breakfast.
We were not able to get a table in the restaurant during the evening. This was due to booking with an agency. It would be better if the agency had explained that we needed to contact the hotel to book a table before hand. Perhaps you could advise the booking agencies to make people aware of this when booking through them. I must stress that the hotel staff tried to assist by recommending other local restaurants which we appreciated. It would have been nice to have been able to eat at the hotel though, saving a further trip out that evening.
The room was large and very comfortable, excellent bathroom. Very clean, lovely staff and very well run.breakfast was lovely.
There was nothing we didn't like only small niggle was no chicken on main meal menu.
Comfort and hospitality was great. Only a short stay but had a meal in the restaurant and the food was fab. Will visit again
Location, clean and approachable staff
Duck feather pillows and at breakfast was not offered any more toast or tea
the rooms were very well apointed
the menu lacked variety
Pleasant staff, lovely room
A noisy generator , or something like it making an odd noise Poor wi fi reception, in fact non existent
From the moment we stepped inside the staff made us most welcome and were very helpful. There was no pressure from the staff or kitchen to order food so we were able to have a relaxing evening and space out our courses. Before retiring to bed we were asked if there was anything else we needed and our refreshment tray was replenished immediately. We couldn't have asked for more, nothing was too much trouble! We would definitely stay again.
Unfortunately the room lacked soundproofing and we could hear the hand dryer in the toilets below, also the sound of music coming from the bar was clearly audible, even though it wasn't loud in the bar. There was also a slightly unpleasant odour in our room, we weren't sure if this was a drainage problem?
Deluxe double room was superb Amazing spa bath Great staff, very friendly Amazing food - we tried breakfast, lunch and dinner - all amazing Would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay again!!
Wifi signal was very poor - unable to open a google page
Having stayed at the White Hart on a couple of previous mid week occasions we knew what to expect: A warm welcome, nice clean rooms, a 1st class evening meal and a brilliant breakfast to send us on our way. How disappointed was I when we got to our room on a Friday evening to find that breakfast on Saturday (and Sunday) was not served until 9:30 and as we had to be at our destination by 11:00, 3 hours away, this would not work! Reconciling ourselves to the advertised continental my wife went to book it, this was lucky for us, and the hotel, as we then realised that check out couldn't happen until 9:30 either!! We will return only not on a Friday when I'm afraid we'll have to suffer the joys of the multiples, cheaper but oh I'll miss the breakfast.
The White Hart is great fun, it is a breath of fresh air, open and friendly, plenty of light in the bar, lots of various size tables, very good bar menu, excellent chef and well delivered food. Good real ales, plenty of parking. It all feels brand new. Adequate size bedroom number 4 with excellent walk in shower. very generous and tasty breakfast. This is a very well run establishment where the staff are on top form and obviously enjoy working here. It's out in the country but within easy reach of M1, highly recommended.
Could have done with at least one comfortable chair in bedroom, only a hard stool or bed to sit on. Bar furniture also very solid and hard, not comfortable to sit on for very long.
Room was lovely very comfortable bed facilities were great. We had a meal in the evening the food was absolutely gorgeous and good portions. Very friendly staff couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast next day was amazing.
Very friendly staff in the evening and at breakfast. Spotlessly clean in our room which was a decent size with lovely views. Lovely food in the evening, had the steak pie with a good selection of ales and reasonably priced wines. Would definitely come back.
Only comment would be on the laminated menu for breakfast under continental and full English they could perhaps list what you would get but this is a very minor point.
