The room was stuffy and hot. The only windows opened onto a brick wall a metre distant and no breeze could be found. A small fan was supplied. Several breakfast menu items not available over three days. |

Very central and convenient for Lewes and surrounding areas. The swimming pool looked very nice but unfortunately we didn't have time to make use of it. We were only staying one night so the convenience of booking online made it easier to use this hotel. Very noisy, we barely slept! We were staying in the Annex and the noise of people moving about in rooms above was very bad - the floorboards constantly creaking, and even the noise of people opening drawers was quite audible. This hotel is quite expensive and is not worth the money for what you get. The breakfast was ok but I've had much better in cheaper hotels. |

Oldy worldy, with loads of character, great central position very hot weekend for the UK, and very stuffy in the hotel. Back door to the kitchen was open into the car park, looked in need of a deep clean. |

Friendly atmosphere, convenient, parking easy, dog welcome at extra charge, bar lunch and breakfast both fine. Bed very uncomfortable; sagged in middle, was really below acceptable standard. |

It's panelled and unchanged lounge and hallways. The last time I stayed at The White Hart I swore I would never stay there again. This time I had no choice as it was the only accommodation I could find for a one-night stay. This time I did have a less scruffy room. The whole place looks shabby and could do with a serious spring clean. Why does the bar close to residents at 11:00 p.m.? |

Informal, but comfortable with nice staff, good value and great location. My wife would like more light over the bathroom mirror, then again she always does! |

I liked the lobby, the lovely little bar and the fact it was open late for those that were attending the wedding in Lewes that evening The bathroom was a bit of a disappointment. For £70 or more a night for a single, the shower head could have been newer and not covered in limescale. 5 minutes in bleach could have fixed that. The towels were of a lovely quality but had quite noticable stains on them which is not really acceptable. Other than that, everything was great. The bed was extremely comfortable too. |

Everything was tired looking. The evening meal was poor, the room was noisy and terribly old fashioned. The whole place badly needs a makeover and is trading on past reputation. |

The hotel is a lovely old building, ideally situated and the staff were excellent. Reception responded very well when I reported some maintenance issues in my room. I felt very much at home. It was a pity that the pool was being serviced while I was there. |

Service in restaurant poor. No menus. White bread only until we asked. No butter until we asked. I was asked if I'd like filet steak as a starter. We don't blame staff whose English is poor but we do blame those who should have trained them. No turkey with Caesar salad although ordered. Watered down orange juice at breakfast. No fresh fruit. Coffee poor. |

The room looked tired and in need of some TLC. Disappointed for the money paid. Cannot comment on the rest of the hotel. Did not use any facilities.Staff however, were courteous. Breakfast was OK. |
