Provide very nice quality of toiletries
location and food were good.
No facilities. Not suitable if you have children
If you like old style, old tradition, then it is excellent.
Arrived at 7pm asked to book table for dinner, told I would have to take table in reception as restruant full up,had to wait for a table to become free to eat in restaurant . Would have thought they would automatically allocate tables for residence as there is no other eating establishment in village
The included breakfast was just a continental-style, so I ordered the "Half English" cooked breakfast. Really tiny portions served by a miserable waitress who needs to learn how to smile. The room was nice, but spoiled by the cheapest possible toilet roll. I have no idea why a hotel would do this. The wifi connection was terrible. And there was no phone signal. OK, I realise that the mobile signal is out of their hands, but there is no excuse for a bad wifi signal.
The room was lovely, lots of nice little touches. The food in the restaurant was good in the evening.
breakfast wasn't all that, had to pay for extras - beans on toast was £5.
the best steak for a long while.Restaurant staff really nice, Was a special birthday and loved it.
The evening meal menu was a bit limited
Beautiful place lovely room
Walls are somewhat thin and you can hear the other occupants, especially if you are in a ground floor room like we were.
Comfortable bed, nice bathroom, spacious room, excellent area. Had some nice ales at the bar and breakfast was decent.
All the staff were really nice, food was outstanding (we had dinner and then paid the extra for a cooked breakfast which was also great) rooms were beautiful with cute little decorations, tv had good signal and the bed was really comfy! Blackout curtains too.
The location was lovely! Rooms where fantastic! Could fault the place at all!!
Location Friendly staff Food quality Cleanliness
Location and relaxed atmosphere
Very clean Bathroom excellent and spotless Food very good Nice setting Very helpful and welcoming staff
Beautiful location and very friendly staff!
Dining experience good, room a modernised part of an outbuilding but tastefully done retaining key features and charm.
Nothing to report.
Warm welcome & friendly staff. Good food. Room good size & clean, cozy & comfortable. Nice surroundings.
Excellent staff service
Very dark and gloomy food very expensive
Promised welcome basket a bit disappointing - no glasses supplied in the room.
Lovely rural setting, attached to nice pub (even though they lost our order). Comfortable bed, good duvet, good shower and good sized rooms and plenty of parking.
The rooms are very much on the average side
Food and restaurant service was very good
shower in our room was not very good, and no hairdryer in room.
we had to leave early on Sunday morning prior to when breakfast was due to be served so we were offered bacon sandwiches which they made up before we went to bed.
There was no hot water for the shower or bath due to plumbing problems. Situation still wasn't remedied after 3 days.
The location was great situated in lovely surroundings. The continental breakfast was good, particularly the fresh bread.
Unfortunately they had a problem with the water. There was very low pressure rendering the shower unusable. It was hit and miss whether any water came from the taps, so we left the bath tap running and came back later for enough water to bathe in.
Toiletries were good, as were coffee and biscuits in room
Small bed and noisy floorboards in room
Service food and ambiance good
The Goats cheese pannacotta was very bland and the waitress never came back after the main coarse to ask if we wanted dessert or coffee.
The decor was lovely, staff lovely beautiful restuarant.
