Owner was exceptionally friendly and accomodating
Garden area at the rear of the property needs tidying-up
The staff where excellent and really helpful. Intimate and cosy bar/restaurant area. Room was a good size and comfortable with a great big bathroom.
Couldn't fault the place.
This Inn is located in a very quiet and small village. The food - evening meal we had was excellent and the breakfast was perfect and made to order. Excellent value for money. The service was also of a very high order.
Nice large room very clean.
Very friendly and helpful staff went out of their way to to meet our needs. Great breakfast. Slept well.
fantastic selection of food in the bar, lovely village location, delightful rooms with four poster bed. Staff happy to help with early start on day of departure.
TV in a difficult viewing place in the room.
Great location - 20 minutes from the Goodwood Festival of speed. Clean, comfortable, modern room. Quaint inn in a really lovely locale. Amazing food in the restaurnat for dinner! Friendly, helpful staff.
Very nice hotel, lovely room and great breakfast
Light bulb blown on main light, in room fire escape door not bolted, massive bathroom but tiny bath and no shower and no room to stand in bath, sink coming away from wall.
Ambience was brilliant, staff very welcoming and food was very tasty too.
Shower didn't have enough power
breakfast and evening meal
would like ensuite toilet but we did know before we came
Lovely hotel. Charming rooms. Good food. Friendly staff.
Clean, staff were very helpful
Poor reception for internet and stalite TV
Nice building and location
No organisation with any of the staff, wanted to wait for partner to check in room but was rushed up the stairs so he did not know where I was. The breakfast was 1/2, not a full English and no white bread, egg were the worst I have everf been served Put in wrong room and overcharged and even queried this at the start No help with luggage, struggled up stairs Rooms and hotel needs painting, grubby looking No shower washed when got home Partner did not fit in the bed as it was too short
Remote location was nice.
Room was terribly small. Shower felt like a coffin (dark and small). Staff not very friendly or attentive.
Good location, peaceful and room excellent
room, parking, food, friendly and helpful staff,
Water not very warm for shower or washing
Staff very friendly and because we arrived before the afternoon closing we were able to book in early. Food excellent & very good value.
Tiny tv positioned on a bedside table was difficult to watch comfortably
Its quiet and comfortable; nice bedroom, very warm; food excellent and modest price.
the hotel does not open until 6pm...I should have read the small print. I never managed to switch on the TV in my room!
I was travelling solo on two business appointments in different locations and wanted to fit in a visit to Petworth House. Also required somewhere informal and non-corporate. Looking online the White Horse Sutton matched all these requirements and was very reasonably priced. Nick and his staff are friendly and welcoming and the food exceeded all expectations - delicious and beautifully presented. It has to be borne in mind that this is a pub with no dedicated receptionist (the good value price reflects this) and so checking in times are as specified. My bedroom was comfortable and refurbished in a sensitive design in keeping with the historic building. Good wifi and tea/coffee making facilities. A thoroughly enjoyable visit and female-friendly to a solo visitor on this occasion. Will definitely return.
Set in the middle of the country with complete silence so you can really relax. The owner goes out of his way to make sure everything is perfect.
There is nothing you could possibly complain about.
Friendly staff, beautiful individual rooms , breakfast fresh cooked and plenty of it , we attended a wedding and although remote we had no problem getting back into the hotel at such a late hour,
No stand up shower only on taps , not good if your tall , very busy lunch time venue so parking a bit of issue, very minor points for a good stay
Its a cute little house with plenty of parking.
Being rushed down for breakfast and when we asked for more tea - the teapot just being filled up with hot water and not refreshing tea bags. Yuck.
