The location is great. Atmosphere like in hobbit tale.
Very, very hard to adjust water temperature in shower.
Staff very welcoming.Bed comfortable and premises surprisingly quiet at night. Evening meal good and reasonably priced. Breakfast excellent.Over all value for money.
First impressions are not too good. Bedrooms need re-decorating.
Obviously very popular with locals - good sign. Meal was very good
helpful and friendly staff, very good food in the evening.
Character of the inn. Very helpful staff.
The setting and decor of the hotel is charming reflecting it's age and history.. The food was good quality pub food.
Access to the room has its challenges with a difficult old staircase to climb.
Ambience, location, friendliness of staff and locals, food and comfort
Our 4th visit to this beautiful old Inn. Love the countryside setting next to the small river. Comfortable, clean room, great breakfast and evening meals. Nothing is too much trouble for Tim and all his staff ensuring a lovely stay. Both Watchet and Minehead are within easy driving distance if peace and quiet is not your scene!
Location, food excellent, very efficient waitress both evenings
Our bathroom wasn't serviced on our first day. Also having lights turned out in restaurant on second evening at 1055 after we had an evening meal and were residents in pub, especially as the previous evening were still in the pub till midnight.
Everything was great
Ambience, food, location, everything
The cosyness The great breakfast Good beer
A charming old worlde inn. Lovely location and lovely food,
On arrival at the pub, we asked to check in and the guy behind the bar was rude and unwelcoming. I asked the guy if we could book a table as our family would be joining us for dinner. He had a miserable attitude and was just not interested. Our 13 year old grandson is in a wheelchair and when my daughter asked to book a table that would accomodate the wheelchair he just tutted. My daughter asked him was he having a bad day and he said it looked like it was going to be. Disgusting attitude. Tried to speak to the owner following morning, but he had left. Left a message for him to ring us or email and to date we have received neither.
Everything, the staff and the acommodation were some of the best we have experienced, food and drinks were excellent. Surroundings were superb.
Food was top quality. staff very friendly as were the locals great setting

This is a lovely country pub for short stay. Easy access to other tourist attractions in the vicinity.A really hearty breakfast too !
Staff were excellent, could not do enough for you, even relocated our breakfast table due to having our Border Collie with us.The pub was busy for meals, but great attention to all. Bed was really comfortable. Location was excellent.
Room was a bit warm and noisy over kitchens, but by 23:00 was al quiet. ( Disturbed our 2yr old Border Collie, who thought he was on guard)
