A nice two days away looking forward to next time soon I hope
Nothing all good
Food excellent bedroom could have done with some t l c mattress hard but overall a good place to stay
Everything! The staff were very friendly, the room highly satisfactory, & the food excellent.
Spotless bed linen and shower/toilet. Good evening meal although several items on menus sold out. Very good breakfast
Very very steep spiral staircase and I am disabled and had to go " the long way round" which mean walking around outside the pub up an incline where there was a ramp? Steps ( two) down to the bedroom. Not disabled friendly at all. Lots of different levels/ steps in pub dining room.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The back-door and take-away breakfast were very useful. The food was really tasty and good value too. Free parking & 24 hours access made it an ideal base for our stay. My advice - read the text and know what to expect; breakfast is a bit late and there is some noise... but it's a (very popular) pub!
nothing - we will be coming back!
Charming location Wonderful historic building Fine breakfast
Had to wait till 9 am for breakfast, made the day a. It short for touristing, but well worth the wait
Nice pub lovely views. breakfast was very nice but.....
would have been nice to have cereal before cooked breakfast, only had choice of one or other not both. our room was above the bar very noisy.
Beautiful setting, excellent accommodation and service. Lovely, very clean room and excellent breakfast. Hosts were really friendly.
Food was great staff good great with a pet
The staff and the evening meals
Noise from the early bin men and the late breakfast time
great food,great service
A lovely welcome from both staff and locals. Beautiful setting. Lovely quiet, spacious room.
We are both vegetarians and there was nothing substituted for us, ie we had the same breakfast as a meat eater, less the meat. In our experience, most places, if they did not have vegetarian sausages, would give you extra eggs.
just what you.d imagine an old english pub should be like
luggage access a little difficult
Lovely pub, The food was excellent, overall very good value for money, would stay there again.
Two young lads in the next room had the TV on untill 5am even with earplugs could hear the TV. But obviously this is not the Hotels fault, just young lads with disregard to anyone else.
Friendly staff, good value food and drink, quiet and well located for me. I've stayed many times and it's always my first choice. The only niggle is the late breakfast, which if it was a holiday trip would be fine. However the takeaway breakfast provided the night before was a welcome alternative.
Reasonable cost. Good food.
Breakfast times started 09:00 until 10:00. should be from 08:00.
Good value for money
Very personal service even though the white horse was very busy
Friendly staff Fabulous food & excellent breakfast Lovely cosy & comfortable bedroom Good selection of Real Ales Ideal location for touring Exmoor Dog friendly

Excellent food (breakfast & dinner), lots eating dinner each evening, extensive menu, good choices, waiting staff very friendly, nothing any trouble. Relaxing out door area. Popular with locals. In all an excellent 3 day break. Thank you.
I had a lovely night in the bar with the friendly locals, ate a good meal & retired to a cosy single room (very comfortable & quiet). Had to get up early, but returned 2 hours later & had a very nice full English breakfast. Very good value, definitely tell my friends.
There is nothing not to like about this place.
It is a nice old Pub, very friendly People, very good Food. A warm atmosphaere. Nice area around.
For me it was hard to sleep well in my bed.
Stayed her for one night 20 September was a lively welcoming place booked for dinner and the food was lovely however I am a proper pie lover not this puff pastry top lark but the filling was yummy Small rooms but perfectly equipped nice breakfast
The location is idyllic as the inn nestles by the river washford in a tiny hamlet. The nearest village is washford proper about a half mile away. This location is a great base for exploring south Somerset and north Devon.
Great care has to be taken on the lanes due to their narrowness and lack of any footpaths. No use to anyone without a car.
Everything about the Swan inn is excellent we will certainaly stay again. food first class.
