The friendly and helpful staff were excellent! The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and the food was perfectly cooked.
Great choice of food at breakfast Lovely decor in room Fresh milk in room Ground coffee in room
Such a nice hotel, with fantastic modern decor and furnishings. In really nice quiet countryside. We particularly liked the layout of the hotel - It doesn't really feel like a conventional hotel - you almost have your own little private house / chalet. Also, definitely need to mention how great the staff were. We arrived late on the Thursday night having cycled down from London. We had missed the evening meal slot as the kitchen had closed (understandably, we arrived after 10). Nonetheless, the staff looked after us really well and made sure we had enough to eat. It was really appreciated lots. Excellent service and friendliness. The breakfast was great in the morning. As we were checking out in the morning a wedding party was checking in. i can definitely understand why they had decided to hold their wedding celebrations at the White Horse.
We had a lovely room with a hot tub that was great fun. Our evening meal was very good made up of local game and produce. An all round success.
Lack of a hair dryer in room.
The waiting staff was an excellent lady. Nothing too much trouble.
Off duty staff sat by fire so guests couldn't enjoy it. Also not a good look
I liked everything about it, room very comfortable and food excellent.
Great customer service Very good food Great room Free parking Good WIFI great breakfast good choice of drinks
breakfast is a little late food a little on the expensive side
Beautiful surroundings, interesting and tasty, locally produced menu. Pub and dining room have excellent decor. Breakfast was huge. Overall our stay was very enjoyable.
Wish we had been able to book a jacuzzi room!
Can't find fault with anything excellent in every way .
Great rooms! Could do with a room umbrella though!
Food was excellent, staff very welcoming and room extremely comfortable.
Frustratingly it's extremely noisy - the pub is close to a road which motorbikes scream along at high velocity, breaking the rural tranquility!
Staff - warm and friendly Rooms tremendous Breakfast - first class Wonderful location
Lovely country pub, great decor, friendly service and lovely food - would definitely go back!
Rooms were a bit warm at night (despite opening windows!)
Great, warm welcoming from the owner. Everything clearly explained. Drinks served in nice glasses, ales well kept, nice bar area. Food of high quality, although a little expensive. Room of a generally good standard. This hotel becomes excellent when you book the rooms on a special deal. Good overall stay
Breakfast is served too late for business travellers. Boutique rooms in general set a high level of expectation and this room was a little dusty in places and missing hooks to place clothes etc..
Fantastic looking room and comfortable bed. Very close to Goodwood and manager really helped us out when we requested a second night's stay, prior to arrival. Great breakfast. I really want to like this place....and will likely stay again
WiFi very patchy, not available in our room and only in parts of the restaurant. Staff need proper training because they're not "on it". First night's dinner was less than great with wrong food being delivered or not at all. The mussels were terrible and we just left them. The bread was stale even when we requested it be replaced.... The second night's dinner was superb and it was like we were somewhere different.....hard to understand the contradiction.
I would highly recommend this Inn, the staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were comfortable and we liked the stylish and individual design of the room. The restaurant was relaxing and the food was excellent. We also liked the little touch of 'real' milk provided to your room for your early morning tea. We look forward to staying at the White Horse again.
Very good breakfast Great atmosphere Very friendly staff
Lovely location Food was superb- both dinner and breakfast
Lovely peaceful location. Excellent parking.Stylish, tasteful and fun decor. Great food. Considerate and pleasant service.
Tin bath too high for the non athletic!
Very friendly staff, amazing food, beautifully designed room, comfy bed, private terrace and hot tub were fantastic.
Room was dirty on check in. The staff at the bar were very quick to deal with this but unfortunately it was still dirty after the second clean!
This inn was outstanding and is highly recommended. The Rooms were very comfortable and individualized. The staff was excellent and helped us out with travel and the area. I certainly cannot say enough to convey how much I really enjoyed this inn, the staff and the surroundings.
A very comfortable place to stay made special by all the lovely extra little touches (fresh milk!). Lovely bedding and comfy bed together with the quiet setting gave us a good night. Great food and brilliant staff. All very friendly and extremely helpful.
The big Brooklands photo on the wall of the room - I had expected one of those zig-zag patterns shown in some of those photos and was pleased not to get one. The decor in the pub itself - very impressive. The breakfast - wow! And I didn't even have the full breakfast option.
Lack of privacy in the bedroom unless you plunged the whole room into blackness with the heavy curtain. If you wanted some fresh air overnight, leaving the window ajar meant that anyone could gain access. The duvet was too heavy for the temperature, but could not leave the window open - see above. A light bed cover is needed for use if required. No wi-fi access in the room. I get the impression that you know about this but have not cured the problem. The horrible stone wash basin. Your cleaner has to balance the soap on the edge of it because there is nowhere to put it otherwise. It is too high for a small person, which in turn pushes the mirror above too high too. It is all a bit too cramped. Nowhere to put clothes, apart from the hanging rail. No drawers.
Exceptional staff, superb evening meal, early breakfast requested and got. Milk delivered to room door for early morning tea
