Burford Lodge is a refurbished 19th-century Cotswold stone building with a private garden. Just 15 minutes’ walk from Burford town centre, it is well-situated for exploring the scenic Cotswolds.
Score from 288 reviews Very good
Relaxed friendly and helpful owners. Rural views. Clean modern accommodation. Self booking-in at convenient time. Text from owner informing us that the room was ready.
Could hear adjoining rooms plumbing, otherwise excellent.
Everything Location Host Breakfast Facilities
Everything was excellent. Had a very good stay. If the location works for you, it is a great place to stay.
Lovely view outside. Excellent breakfast.
Air in the family room was poor. Our children had breathing problems, including asthma, which they rarely have. We hardly slept at all.
everything was just perfect ! nothing was any trouble the owners are lovely people !
The host and his wife--lots of personal service and friendly hospitality. The "honor bar" in the game room. The very fresh breakfast with eggs from the chickens in the garden and local sausage. The patio on the family room. Very close to a great hike up to the Uffington White Horse. Views straight out of Tolkien's Hobbit!
Good position for Oxford and Stonehenge. Clean and tidy. Stylish decors. Price. Surrounded by nature.
everything perfect !
Welcome was warm and freindly. the room was lovely, breakfast everything I wanted. Great place to stay.
no complaints a very pleasant stay
A very personal and friendly environment, made to feel welcome and relaxed.
High standard of accommodation. Impressed with family room and extra facilities. Fridge and mini bar available. Proprietor very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good choice and quality. Plenty of information available about the local area, including menus for eating places. Lovely countryside views.
We had difficulty finding the property, sign only visible from one direction and we drove past it initially.
fantastic breakfast . good location to visit the ' white horse ' . I like the small town of Srivenham and the restaurant The Crown . I did not have enough time otherwise I would also try The Prince of Wales restaurant .
Friendly welcome Great location Lovely outlook Pretty village Cosy room
The owners were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone. I have told my family about it.
There is nothing that we did not like.
The peace and tranquility, the wonderful view across to the horse on the hill, the clean and comfortable room, the variety and quality at breakfast I liked everything !
Nowt to add.
Friendly staff. (Colin actually e-mailed before our trip with recommendations on things to do.) Very comfortable room. Excellent breakfast.
The view across the fields from the french windows leading off from the bedroom was lovely. The room was clean, comfortable and well decorated. The host was very accommodating and the breakfast excellent. I would definitely recommend The White Horse View B and B.
The room we stayed in was a double room - lovely and comfy and extremely clean. The room had a TV and DVD player in and coffee-making facilities. We were able to see the White Horse on the hill at Uffington from the room, which was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and polite and were happy to accommodate my vegetarian needs! The breakfast was delicious with eggs from chickens in the garden and meat from local farmers. There was also a games room with a juke box, poole table and darts board, which we were able to use. Location is reasonably easy to find and very quiet. Really perfect, I can't find any fault at all. I'd definately go there again!
Caretaker staff were very friendly, room was huge (family room) and clean, very nicely decorated, good clean bathroom with tub. Lovely views, very quiet. Games room was an excellent bonus. Lovely breakfast with the best bacon.
Can't fault it.
in the small town, very quirt. the host is very kind. they have a chill-out room, in the evening we can play there and enjoy some more time. the room is comfortable.
a little bit far from other business. not so convenient for dinner.
Owner very friendly and helpful Excellent breakfast
I loved everything about this b&b, it was across the driveway of the main house which made it private. The room, cleanliness, comfort & facilities were great, i had a decking area outside where i sat watching the sheep & a fox over the field & rabbits, chickens, ducks & birds in the garden. The owner Colin was also really nice & helpful.
Very friendly and flexible staff.beautiful clean room.every effort made with decor, quality of food and even a private decking.
