Location Friendly helpful staff Good breakfast Parking available
Cold bathroom room 17 Also shower screen swings in way when trying to get out of bath Needed some one holding it open so egress from bath could be executed
Everything , location great, Lovely rooms coastline and country side views , just my cup of tea .
We have stayed at the White House twice and recieved great service both times.
clean comfortable and excellent staff highly recommend
room was excellent very warm and comfortable breakfast was great well cooked. Lots of variety.
A little far to walk to the centre of Whitby would probably be ok in the summer though as this was January and very cold.
Loved being welcomed by a log fire in lounge. Friendly staff and room with great views. Food great at dinner and breakfast.
Spotless, great room, dog friendly bar and room, great value, great location.
Everything was first class The staff were an assett to the Hotel we will visit again
The hotel was warm, clean and the food was good
We had trouble adjusting the shower to the desired temperature but the bathroom was fine.
Cleanliness, Friendly staff, Great food,Fantastic views and a good location.
not much but being picky poor quality toilet paper.
I liked the fact there were 3 radiators in our room which we could adjust. The staff were very welcoming and helpful at all times.
Very welcoming and friendly. Staff were great and food delicious!
The only thing I would change about the stay, would be, the window in the bathroom in room 1 although obscured probably would benefit from curtains/blinds, if only on the bottom half.
Pleasant sort of a place
Our dinner was awful! Plenty of vegetables, which was good, but slump of fatty meat which was half gristle.
At check in at reception we were not told of the late entrance key on our key ring which was a fire exit at the back of the building. Therefore we had to pay for another hotel costing 270.00 and all they said it was in your hand book . Very disappointing with them knowing we were at a wedding with a 4 year old
the room was very well appointed with everyitng you could need include an iron and ironing board, extra heater and wall heater, the velux window offered an excellent view of the stars at night, very romantic and the addition of a bath was a nice touch.
at night the room got quite cold and despite the duvet being heavy it wasnt that warm but the heaters dried the air out. the kettle wasnt easy to fill in the bathroom as the sink was too small to accomodate it so it needed to be filled in the bath which meant negotiating the shower screen
First class food at a very reasonable price all freshly prepared. My cod loin was a delight. Very good and genuinely friendly staff and a great location just above the beach. Perfect for dog owners. You can take the dog into the bar too.
Annex room needed the fixtures and fittings servicing and a few hooks for towels etc in the bathroom.
Friendly. Nice view whilst eating food top notch. Very pleasant stay just what me and the wife wanted.
This was our second visit, it's a very good hotel, very clean and comfortable, good food and bar area. A third visit is a definite possibility.
We stayed in one of the annexe rooms with our golden retriever charlie had a fantastic break owners and staff brilliant highly recommended
We had the deluxe double room. It had the most fantastic view over the sea. Worth the money for that alone on a nice crisp winter morning.
The location and views were stunning. The breakfast was one of the best I have had. Good evening meals which are simple but plentiful and good value.
Could hear some noise from bar in room but it had stopped by a reasonable hour and wasn't too loud
The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. Food was freshly cooked, sensible size portions of good pub food. The location is right next to the golf course with lovely views, but a bit far out of the centre if you want to walk there, but not really a problem. We will stay there again next time we visit Whitby.
