Nice staff and friendly clientele
smoking area is situated close to some rooms so can get quite noisy
the staff were all happy and professional, nothing was to much trouble. the food in the restaurant was excellent and the portion sizes were good. the room was large, clean and warm.
Value for money, location, quiet room
Weak Wi-Fi Bed was a bit old fashioned, mattress a bit tired
Very friendly staff and good service at breakfast.Very reasonable price all round. Surprised at the atmosphere at the bar which was great.
Staff v. Friendly and helpful. The food was first class.
Friendly staff Close to airport Cosy rooms
The fact that it's getting a makeover
The fact the makeover isn't finished!
the staff were all very cheery and were very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and very well presented. They are undergoing a decorating works, which is of a good standard.
Bed was a little too hard for me, but that is personal preference
The room was nice, desperate toilet and bathroom
Restaurant could've provided more veg with the meal. Room could've been cleaner
Bed was incredibly comfortable
The bed was incredibly comfortable but somewhat put off by having to climb to top of the hotel and through a fire door at the top of the stairs. Felt like I was in the staff quarters. Room had an odour and the net curtains didn't cover the window but with the window open to freshen the room and with curtains closed the problems were masked
How friendly the staff was and how you was made welcome. X
Restaurant food was good but a bit over priced
Room - Smelt of tobacco and bathroom dirty. Bed very hard.
Warm room, good free Wi Fi, Information slip on arrival, comfortable beds, easy parking, good breakfast. Friendly staff and useful bar. Good value
Decor a bit tired but I think refurbishment works are ongoing.
Excellent food and service in the restaurant.
Staff were brilliant. Really friendly and helpful.
Both the breakfasts and bar/restaurant meals were excellent. Staff were both friendly and helpful..
Room was quite small
Good breakfast and really helpful staff
Poor quality fittings in bedroom. Needing upgraded. En-suite too small for a bath and needing re-done to upgrade dirty grout and silicon
Breakfast cooked to order. No queuing at a DIY toaster! Comfy bed. Nice friendly atmosphere.
Bathroom door difficult to shut. Main door lock sticks. Minor décor maintenance required.
The restaurant was so good. Amazing food.
Location, Food, Space in room
Wifi was available but poor.
The overall impression is fair. Staff freindly, food good and nice area to sit outside in.
The bed was not fit for use anymore as the springs had gone and made for a very uncomfortable night. I complained in the morning and the manager apologised and said they would replace it. Whether they do or not I'm not convinced as I'm sure people must have made the same complaint before and it's still being used. Family I was staying with room also stunk of stale cigarette smoke, and was very off putting, yet it states it's a non smoking hotel. Not pleasant for non smokers.
A very friendly, helpful and efficient staff. It was a very good stay. Lots of choices for breakfast, which was very good.
Many years ago I understand it use to be an old manor house, so the rooms do reflect that. Old style rooms which have been updated and quite big rooms too. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Poor decor! The owners need to spend money on general painting and decorating. Also more cleaning required, lots of cobwebs you can see especially in the restaurant. Not ideal for where you eat.
Close enough, quick taxi ride, £25 to and from the festival. Nice staff, nice stay, nice room, nice breakfast
The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough to help. The breakfast was plentiful and very good quality, and the food in Oscars restaurant was really good too. All in all we would definitely go again if attending another event nearby.
The rooms were a bit tired in parts, but far outweighed by all the good points!
