Quiet market town, good range of shops, some busy pubs, not many really nice eating places from what we could see, apart from Yoko's Thai which was amazing, would definitely recommend eating there. Also, 35 West do amazing coffee, very friendly staff. We would love to visit again and get to know the community.

Parts of the town are run down, but there are nice areas around the church and park. There are nice shops including a bakery and coffee shop and a small cafe by the car park. It's a historic town but suffers in comparison to say Ludlow or Tewkesbury.

We had never been here before and were dazzled by the beautiful place we stayed in, our warm and delightful hosts (Anna and Karen), and the surrounding environs. The place itself is idyllic and matched the surrounding areas. There is a black and white Tudor house trail nearby, where every village looks like a picture postcard. Hay on Wye and a number of gorgeous little towns and villages are within touching distance and made us feel like we were escaping the life into a wonder world. Everything you needed for a self catering stay was provided and it felt like a little home from home. Everything was clean and the bed was so comfy I didn't want to get up each morning lol!
