Staff, food and sea view
Staff very friendly. Nice position on seafront. Great breakfast.
Deluxe room quite small for price. Sound proofing poor - could hear people next door and down below.
Cleanliness, decor and high standards of service throughout the hotel. Staff were friendly and professional - nothing was too much trouble.
Dreary dark room even though booked early and the hotel was virtually empty.
the laissez fair attitude of staff
the welcome they gave to dogs the help I got with my food needs gluten and dairy free in the restaurant
everything .staff,location,rooms.dogs welcome.
Beautiful dining room .we opted for a full English which was rather dissapointing. It was as if it had been under a hot lamp too long.sorry.but loved everything else about this hotel.
Staff very helpful and friendly . Very relaxing atmosphere . Great location.
picturesque location and not far from town . Hotel facilities pleasant bar and lounges
Lack of parking. Food was not very good quality although we did only spend 2 days here breakfast was okay, we only ate once in the evening and had an issue with one of our meals but the matter was dealt with by the staff .
Great views and convenient for town centre. Good food, bar and restaurant
Bathroom a bit dated. Bar prices too high.
Location Staff & service Clean
Out dated furniture Top end charges
Thin walls so very noisy at night. First night loud television until 1am and snoring from another room. Second might relieved of television and went to sleep by 11pm only to be awakened by loud noises and banging from the room next door. This continued until after 2am. Woken again at 6am by a delivery to the hotel? When we mentioned this at checkout we were informed that a lady with dementia was in the room next door! We didn't complain during the night as we kept expecting the noise would stop and didn't think reception was manned.
Everything! We have never been able to say before that a hotel is excellent in every way but the White Lodge Hotel certainly is. We thoroughly enjoyed our two night break here and will definitely return whenever we need a break.
There was nothing to dislike.
Everything Staff can't do enough for you Stood in parking space till I brought my car round Food well prepared and presented
The special welcome basket for our dog was so lovely and it was great that he was allowed to be with us while we had supper in the bar. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The location is superb and the room was nice and quiet.
The food could have been a bit more imaginative (but if you like bland English food you are safe).
Superb location - very comfortable, quiet bedroom with a lovely view over the sea to Filey Brig Generous well cooked English breakfast Convenient on-street parking
No reaction to our comment on the poor quality crab-claw salad at the not-inexpensive 2-course dinner. Had to call staff at bedtime to show how to close one of the window blinds. This should have been done on arrrival Initial welcome was friendly enough but after that we seemed to be invisible apart from to the dining room staff who were pleasant. Noone said "good morning", and noone said "goodbye" Mistake found on checking the bill. It was corrected.
Staff were extremely friendly, polite and friendly. Bed was comfortable and bedding and towels excellent. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and was served quickly and obviously cooked to order. Evening meal - fresh vegetables and presentation of food was good.
I really enjoyed my stay at the White Lodge Filey. I booked a deluxe room and it was beautifully clean and bright, overlooking the sea! The staff were very friendly and helpful, both at the reception and in the bar and restaurant. We ate in the restaurant and the food was superb! I stay in many hotels and I can give this hotel my highest recommendation. I would certainly stay there again!
Staff were always good and helpful, food was moderate but service good. Some facilities could do with updating.
Lack of adequate parking for clients.
The breakfast was excellent freshly cooked and everything was warm which you dont get in many hotels and the bed was so comphy with quality sheets
The shower was poor the water was hot but needed a bit more power
The Location was excellent (but there was steep steps to climb to get there). Luxury Breakfasts. There were blinds and curtains to block out the light in the morning.
For a Three Star Hotel, it is overpriced - £280 for 2nights (and that was the Discounted Price!). For the same amount of money, the Downcliffe House Hotel is far better value for money for the Quality.
Our room was a good size even with an additional bed for our daughter and everyone was helpful and friendly.
View from sea view room was absolutely fantastic. Breakfast was one of the best I have had.
Thought drinks were expensive, but plenty of cheaper options around.
Staff very friendly and helpful Good breakfast
Very pokey room over the kitchen. It was a hot night and kitchen staff were smoking below our room and it was coming in our window. Very over priced
A very comfortable hotel with very pleasant staff. We arrived at the hotel on Saturday, 9 August 2014 and were allowed to check in early to our room. We had a very enjoyable full English breakfast on Sunday and it was a pleasure to be served at our table by attentive staff.
Nothing to report.
