I can not understand that parking was so difficult to find, because another perking is just in front of the hotel. The woman on the desk was worst hospitality. She is kind only for English. She never kind nor smile for foreigners. I couldn't put up with her arrogant and contemptuous tone.
Location was excellent and staff were ultra friendly when giving advice on places to eat!
Everything was great
The staff were great, the building is wonderful and the food was exemplary
My room was nice but quite cramped. This didn't bother me until a friend told me what her room was like!
Hotel, room, breakfast, pub and very helpful staff!
Polite and helpful staff, great food and drink and one of the best hotel beds we have ever slept in.
The pub on the main floor had great food and decorations. Very close to tourist attractions. Very historic old building.
Difficult to get to your room even with elevator with multiple levels of stairs. Rooms very small and mattresses hard. Doors thin. You can hear people walking outside. No parking. You have to park down the street in a parking ramp and drag your luggage down the street.
Greeted by the most charming member of staff, very helpful and knowledgeable about the history of the hotel and the area. The room we were given was amazing. We had dinner in the hotel and the food was to die for. Beautiful place to visit, will be back!
Having to leave
the layout was good the staff were very helpfull
the food was terrible and not room for all the clothes in wardrobe and no chester draws
The hotel was lovely, really central. Fantastic character building, with very helpful, friendly staff. The bedroom was very large with a 2 seater sofa and a chair. It would have been nice if there had been a dressing table and maybe a coffee table.
No dressing table. No lounge for residents to sit in. Only the bar area or reception area to sit in.
The style of the rooms and the smart bathroom.
Having to park away from the hotel and being charged for same.
Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, rooms well presented. The real attraction is the tremendous history and character of the building - simply unbeatable.
Poor nights sleep in my room as I was awakened at 4:30 am by the sound of running water through nearby pipes. I must have been unlucky with 202 room as a colleague had a great nights sleep.
Staff friendly and helpful.
View from room is a fire escape and walls. Expected better tasting food for this price.
location quiet bedroom friendly & helpful staff fab breakfast
charge for parking expensive drinks in bar & very pricey room service menu limited menu choice
Friendly staff, very clean and lovely decor everywhere. Superb food and fantastic location.
Staff were brilliant, breakfast menu and service was excellent. Great location and very comfortable bar area
For the price we felt the rooms were only average, but non the less comfortable just a bit on the small side. Having to pay additional for parking given the room rate seems a little over the top, it should be included in such a rate.
Room facing the main road (Windsor Road) was delightful, but there were a rowdy group of people congregating outside the hotel at 3am. This is not the hotel's fault, but I would advise them to call the police and have them disperse these people....
Room was great Excellent food Great place to stopover
Great bathroom with walk in shower. Safe ,fridge and sky sports.Excellent food in the restaurant both breakfast and dinner.Couldnt ask for more.Only downside room 122 Was noisy from 5am with staff activity outside and also late in the evening.Dounle glazing would probably fix it.
See above noise emanating from the alley outside
- the location was fantastic -- both for exploring Stratford itself and the surrounding area - the staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable - the hotel is a great mixture of very old and modern conveniences (it even has a lift!!) - the attached restaurant/pub (the oldest part of the hotel) drips history and ambiance, and the food and service are superb.
- there is no on-site parking, just paid lots a block away from the hotel; however, there is room to load and unload
Fantastic old world charm with modern functionality. Shower fantastic. Bathroom first class and large. Fittings and fixtures all look great with a good standard of upkeep. Bed large and comfortable. Staff first rate. Restaurant is fantastic old world charm. Parking is in a private car park nearby but you pay the hotel direct
Nothing. Just Fabulous
Position of Hotel and general standard of the room. We had everything we acquired and all of a high standard
The parking was rather inconvenient but appreciate with the position it must cause problems. Rather disappointed in the full breakfast and cold toast.
The rooms are lovely, very comfortable. Staff very friendly and food excellent.Perfect location for visiting the attractions
Parking is an additional cost of £11 per day.
Had a great time will be going back very soon
Nice friendly hotel. Good situation, very clean. Excellent breakfast. All staff very pleasant.
Not keen on the parking but accept with a town centre hotel customer parking would be limited.
Central and local to all amenities.
