the rooms and accomodation
We loved being told they'd upgraded our room! Food and wine before theatre trip was so nice.
helpful, attentive, but unpushy staff--very comfortable rooms
Room a little small--but charming!
the hotel was full of character, homely and provided a wonderful breakfast. the location too was fab.
our room was situated on the top floor. Noise from either a compressor / heating pump was rather annoying.
Arrived and received an upgrade. Staff were very helpful, hotel room was beautiful. Hotel was very clean.
Only downside you had to pay for car parking and the car park is a couple of minutes away.
Character of hotel.
Staff were off hand and inattentive.
Hotel in a fantastic position, central to just about everything in Stratford. The hotel has a really lovely atmosphere, the bar/restaurant is a lovely place for lunch or evening meal. Breakfast was particular good with a good choice. The room clean and nicely presented with a good shower room, also lovely and clean. Overall a good place to stay with the benefit of fantastic staff, very helpful and friendly.
Nothing really bad. Bed a bit hard for me and the doors where a little noisy when they closed, but I'm really being picky here.
We were made to feel welcome as soon as we entered the building.Nice room at back of building which was very quiet.Great breakfast and waiting staff so helpful and friendly.Waitress told us that we should have told the hotel it was my husband's 70th birthday and they would have made it special! We had a lovely time regardless.Thank you The White Swan.
Kitchen has aspirations to produce attractive food but needs to learn the basics first. Poor.
The room was stunning,we had a very relaxed overnight stay and the breakfast was lovely servied in a very grand room with a welcoming open fire. Would stay here again.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Building and the waiting staff excellent French waiter lovely
The room & hotel were first class & the meal on the first night (7 pm) was excellent
The fish & chips on the second night (6 pm menu), the fish was very greasy
We loved the central location, the way they'd upgraded the hotel, mixing modern convenience with mediaeval original buildings. The staff were friendly and it represented very good value.
location; atmosphere; good food
heating not working although the reception provided heater (this should have been checked up front); disorganised service during breakfast;
Great location - historic building - friendly staff - good breakfast
The room we had overlooked the humming cinema ventilation ducts so we slept with the window shut but the aircon was good so no big deal.
The food is exceptional at the White Swan.We stayed for the second time and even the breakfast is beautifully presented and the cooked food is more than just good ,it is exceptional
Lovely rooms, fantastic location and breakfast.
we liked everything about our stay the staff were attentive but not intrusive the location to the wonderfully historic Strattford was brilliant the room was clean and quiet will definitely stay there again
The small snack that we had on Friday evening was excellent. We chose from the restaurant starters, and wished that we had arrived early enough to have a full meal.
The rooms were very comfortable clean n stylish everything you need was there. Staff were pleasant n very helpful
needed more options on pub menu
lovely breakfast with interesting, fresh ingredients and a twist!
having to pay extra for parking.
Great location, good food. Happy, helpful staff. Characterful dining room with a crackling log fire. Nice bathroom.
No door on the en suite, just a curtain. Restaurant service hurried.
Had a grand room, furniture and bathroom excellent
Possibly the best meal I have ever had in a hotel; evening chef superb and the Bream dish to die for. Comfortable bed, milk in fridge, impeccably clean - all those little things that make a stay a pleasure. Location fantastic- we loved being tourists and doing it all; the production at the RSC on our last night just made our short break perfect.
