This is our sixth visit to Whoop Hall in last 2 years and thoroughly enjoyed it again. Staff are great. Very friendly and helpful. Room very pleasant, clean and quiet. Booked in at 3pm and straight away went for a swim, sauna and jacuzzi. Pool was almost empty and the views across from the pool spectacular. Booked into restaurant which although very busy was we'll staffed. Food is really good and would recommend steaks! Breakfast next morning was self service but everything you could want and full English well cooked and hot. Only stayed one night but on way home both me and hubby said it had felt we had been away much longer it was such a nice relaxing break. Would recommend. Bedroom was great but no shower in our room. Would have liked to have been told before we went to room and given option of bath or shower.

The spa is what makes the hotel, the Gym and pool were great - as were the sauna and Jacuzzi and I must say the spa staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is very nice but out of the town (Kirkby Lonsdale) you could walk it in about 15mins, not recommended in the dark as there is a stretch where there is no footpath. The breakfast is very good. The wifi is very poor and I was unable to get on line at all and I was there for 2 nights, I even sat under the router in the bar but no joy. The rooms are in need of a make over and although the rooms are clean a little more time and attention to detail when making the rooms would go a long way, like tidying away the shower mat and folding the towels back on the rails would be good. It’s what you expect anywhere else.

We had a weekend away with our family- 6 adults and 4 children - ages from 8 down to 3. The hotel was ideal with young children, especially at meal times, which were good. The pool area was an area not suitable for small children. The plan for a small pool incorporated into the large pool was strange -- a wall and bars and lots of steps for the little ones to negotiate, with rules about them not climbing over them into the large pool ---just what they want to do!Also no jumping in - fair enough - but even to jump into parents arms! Also on the website they said it had an outside playground for children--but that had been removed.
