Noise from the trains Poor Wifi Coverage Small TV
Very friendly, excellent landlady. The rooms are spotless and the food is good. Within one minute of the train station.
Staff were great
Great staff and very hospitable
I'm a light sleeper and train noise was disturbing.
- Very friendly, almost family-like staff who always try to fulfill even "special wishes / needs" of the guest. - Clean and large rooms. - Hotel is in a very remote and quiet area, great for relaxing from hectic city and hiking. - Train station in 2 Minutes walking distance.
Since I do not have high demands in hotel rooms..., everything was fine and I have really no complaints...:)
Breakfast was OK. Pleasant staff
Toilet did not flush properly. TV very small and difficult to see as it is on the wrong wall. Noisy room as it was over the bar. Tea was awful brewed with warm not boiled water. Would never go there again probably the one of the poorest accommodations we have been to
Very pleasant room in a quiet location. Staff were friendly and helpful.
There was nothing bad about this hotel.
The welcoming atmosphere. We stayed there because our son was getting married nearby, the owners and staff were very friendly and when our two other children visited us the evening before they were also made to feel at home. On the day of the wedding when we were ready to go, the landlady and barlady came to see us off. The day after they were very interested on how the day went. I really thought it was more like staying with friends rather than a hotel. The food and amenities were first class too.
hospitality, food and comfort
Kitchen was below the room so woke up with them working in kitchen and the smell into the room. I think should be redirect above the house
Everything. Location, near the train station, clean and comfortable rooms, very friendly helpful staff, pleasant atmosphere, nice and relaxing
more of a pub B&B than a hotel. dated room and bathroom but functional and clean
Easy to find, easy going staff who were very helpful and polite.
My room was facing the train lines and the shower cubicle was a bit cramped. WiFi signal was a bit poor in my room and kept dropping the connection.
Welcoming place and friendly
the evening meal comfortable room
noisy train line and the owners having an argument after midnight
No working wifi No hair dryer No milk sachets in room Maid walked in on us in morning without knocking! Late check in time Early check out time No lounge area, I arrived in afternoon & had to work in my room as the bar was closed! Shower was really slow with v little pressure Luckily through booking.com we got a reduction as certainly wouldn't have been worth £80 for the night as we were going to pay originally Overall disappointing
Staff very nice during stay.
I felt overpriced for very basic facilities. Tiny bathroom, no heating on when I arrived, only a soap and a sachet of shower for toiletries, which is most unusual. Tiny TV and poor lighting.
The location, 100m to the train station. Free parking. Good sized portions of food. Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. Room was practical and nice.
Care needs to be taken when walking up the fairly busy adjacent road, as it is unlit and no footpath exists.
Lovely hotel, wonderful staff.
