The staff were fantastic and welcoming. The bed was another world, very comfortable and had a great sleep. I would recommend anyone to stay there.
Close to city, but quiet because it is surrounded by golf course and pasture. Very nice rooms.
Wi-fi was iffy.
The welcome we got was very nice, which included a nice pot of tea and biscuits in the drawing room. The whole experience was very relaxing.
Unfortunately I did not sleep very well due to the flat board on the bed and quite a thin mattress.
Lovely room with nice furnishings. Coffee in pleasant lounge on arrival. Exceptional breakfast and very affable staff
Very welcoming comfortable hotel to stay - with a great breakfast
Friendly and very helpful staff Location Size of room and view Breakfast Lovely building and setting
Shower could be hotter Poor wifi signal
Attention to detail
Peace & quiet. Lovely garden.
The rain although day 2 was sunny.
Very welcoming and accommodating. Great food and breakfast all freshly made to order. Amazing rooms, and building. Great location in the countryside with amazing walks and scenery.
Could have done with a new shower...
Loved the hotel and area. Close to the venue we were attending.
Bedroom beautiful and comfortable but quite dark as no overhead lighting.
A delightful hotel, peaceful, very pleasant service with excellent food and the best night sleep I've had for ages.
Location Old world charm Food was very good
Peaceful place. Free parking, kindeness of the family on charge.
Helpful host, best breakfast cooked perfectly
Beautiful location, beautiful drawing room. Tea on arrival - china cups etc, so lovely! Dinner, such a good way to relax. In fact, the whole atmosphere from arrival to checking out was relaxed, calm, quiet.
The bedroom was gorgeous, but quite stuffy even with the bedroom open.
Beautiful home, attentive service. Spotlessly clean and a nice range of services for a small hotel. Good bar / lounge and nice cooked breakfast.
Few tv channels available and wi-fi was poor meaning I had to view the Tour de France via my smartphone. Not far from Snake Pass so you can hear HGV's and Motorbikes with the room windows open through the night.
Very nice, traditional English hotel. If you wanted to show foreign guests a bit of England then this would be a great place to stay.
Peaceful environment and countryside of view
Bad connection of internet.
Lovely setting and hosts
Old décor in rooms. Bathroom very 70's
I could not fault the service. The food was of the best quality and efforts were made to accomodate my dietry needs without prior warning. I have recommended this hotel to friends and relatives who want a peaceful place to spend a few days and relax.
