Staff very friendly. Breakfast and tea and coffee making facilities excellent. shower good too. own key no restrictions. Very relaxed. No sign of religious aspect.

Single bed but I would ask to book a double for my big body next time!! We boked late so only rooms left were ones backing onto stairs so a little noisy!!

Our Bedroom and particulary the ensuite facilities were very basic and I was glad we had only booked for one night. Lighting very poor.

No tv in room

I was welcomed by the weekend hosts who were very friendly. My room was very comfortable and the breakfasts plentiful. I loved the situation and would have liked to attend church on the Sunday, but my Art course was Saturday and Sunday. Maybe next time I visit ?

.On the second floor ( I think) the plumbing needs a look at! The pipes made a noise like furniture being scraped over bare floor boards. A bit disturbing in the middle of the night!

This hotel is perfect for the car travelers but not for those who have no car.

It is appalling that it is not advertised as a "Religious retreat" as this is exactly what it is! No-where when booking does it say anything about this or we would not have booked. Although the staff were friendly enough that was it. The room was extremly basic, more like a hostel, and the smell of lemon cleaner was so overpowering we had to have the windows open. You were expected to sign out whenever you left then back in again. This is more like a school trip than a mini break. The breakfast was awful! The portion was a childs size which wouldn't have been so bad if it had been edible, which it was not.

I liked my first name being remembered and used by staff when speaking to me. I liked the friendliness shown by staff who welcomed me and showed me to the room. Breakfast was good:) Guests I met were quiet and respectful. Good location for buses to shops, lake and station.

The centre was a bit difficult to find initially but staff at the centre helped me find my way. .

I loved my stay at the Windermere Centre. It was so serene, peaceful and homely. All the staff members were very nice. Given a chance, I would definitely love to stay there again.

The location of the hotel was excellent. It was in easy reach of Windermere and Bowness town centres. The bedroom was basic in facilities but comfortable. I would stay here again and recommend it to others too.
