very friendly, helpful staff and a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. very good breakfast and the evening meal mostly delicious.
some noise at night - people talking in loud voices outside the room. some tables in the restaurant very close together.
Beautiful sea view from balcony room. Restaurant was excellent.
Ground floor room without see view was small and noises from reception etc.
The whole package
The hotel staff were great. The breakfast was great. The room had everything you need and as more like a 4* hotel. The pool was great. THE VIEWS!!! Absolutely stunning...
First of all this was one of the highlights of the trip. I could walk outside on our terrace and have the most beautiful view one can imagine. Additionally, there was a pool and walking distance to the beach. We wound up delaying our ferry half a day because the policy of the hotel is you must be out of your room by 10:30 but you can stay all day and use their facilities. It becomes quite obvious the minute you arrive that this is an owner runner property. The care to helpfulness and detail and the warmth they show certainly would bring back others. The room was a bit small and the twin beds turned out to be a double, but that is so minor. You do have to pay for a bus to get there and drag luggage a bit up a hill but those are minor details. This is a place for honeymooners for older couples, for friends traveling together-- for anyone. The food is generous and lovely, the wait staff is quick and helpful. This is a great example of a family run business that really knows how to please travelers. I highly recommend it. And thanks for the help with the ferry change.
All of it
The view was stunning.
Poor hair dryer small thing but annoying .
The outside terrace was lovely. The views from there were spectacular!
The hotel was a long way up from the beach and walking back up the very steep hill was gruelling especially on a hot day! The dining room was tired and the carpet in there needs replacing as it was sticky in places.
Very helpful staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Quiet location.
Steep walk to beach.
The views were stunning and the staff very friendly.
There didn't appear to be much sound-proofing between rooms.
location and views
All very tired, needs some money spent to sustain the room rate
The relaxed atmosphere & friendliness of the staff.
Nothing to dislike
views and facilities second to none
food - poor quality
Location, views, friendly staff
Couldn't stay longer
Lovely location with fabulous views. Lovely breakfast and very helpful staff.
Rooms were a little noisey at night
Superb views from the hotel
Comfortable, sea-view room looking out over the bay; Wide choice for breakfast and a good selection of food in the restaurant for dinner. Compared to local eateries very good value for money too. Pleasant terrace and pool area.
It's a long walk downhill - and up again- to get to the seafront! But the compensation for being on a hillside is the view!
Breakfast only from 8am which isn't ideal for toddlers as there was no fridge in the room and we needed milk when our little one woke up. But we should have checked first and they were accommodating once staff came on after 7am.
The location was outstanding. Relaxed atmosphere with attentive staff.
The view over the bay
Very well managed with staff clearly interested in maintaining customer service. Interior clean and bright giving a airy feel that complemented the stunning view of St Brelades beach and seascape. Queit location that affords easy access to beach and other locations on the Island.
Nothing other than certain areas of the garden and pool needs some more colourfull planting to brighten the setting.
The plastic hangers in the wardrobe.Shower cubicle was far too small
Nothing that comes to mind but obviously such facilities come at a price which we think was pretty reasonable
we have stayed at Windmills six times over a number of years. it is an excellent hotel, friendly, helpful staff, excellent food and superb location with outstanding views.
Staff all very helpful and friendly. Fab view, beautiful St Brelades bay below. Pool was heated. Choices of buses on top road or lower road. Airport bus actually closest avoiding the climb.
Unfortunately with beautiful views come hills, and although easy going down, not so good coming back up, but it wasn't far.
