Score from 32 reviews Wonderful
With free Wi-Fi, free parking and a fine restaurant, this hotel used to be a country club. It is in quiet, rural Hopwood, 1.5 miles (2.5 km) from the M42 and well placed for central Birmingham.

Friendliness of staff, perfectly clean room, excellent facilities in room, amazing breakfas .good tea and coffee facilities in roomt
Bed was very noisy, creaky.no wifi, but was due to builders cutting through wire
Pub and Food were excellent. Room although small was adequate and quiet although hotel on a busy junction. No outside noise disturbance.
Nice people, nice food, very black country, very Birmingham, lots of local people which i like!
This location was convenient for the purpose of our trip ... namely meeting distant cousins and studying family genealogy.
Difficult to find. (It was easy to find after we had been there.) The address given confused our SatNav. We had to stop and call for directions twice.
Food, Beer, Staff, Environment, Atmosphere
Small Room, Seemed very over-priced for location, no bath. I travel a lot for work and would expect a lot more for the cost. The breakfast wasn't brilliant.
Arrived at midnight after terrible journey and staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. This excellent customer service continued next morning at breakfast.
The rooms were really, even surprisingly, well done: well-equipped, clean and comfortable
Light pollution: we only found the black window blind the next morning, but the in-room fire exit sign was also annoying.
Service received from staff; Food; Accomodation is basic but clean and nothing to wish for
The Staff were exceptionally helpful, even coming in early on the Sunday to prepare breakfast. Rooms were ample and clean, the bathroom modern and spotless. As a real ale drinker it was like dying and going to heaven with a wide range of real ales in the bar.
Staff very friendly and happy to help. Excellent choice of food, superbly cooker and presented and very reasonable prices. Excellent beer, brewed on site. Well presented pub. Would definitely go back to stay, eat or drink, but would do all three.
The bed was comfortable, but noisy when turning over.
Lovely B&B above the Sadlers Ales brewery tap. Great beer and excellent food, though book a table to avoid disappointment. Having stayed above a pub before, we took earplugs, especially as I'm a very light sleeper but it wasn't noisy too late. The room was simply furnished but clean & comfortable. The complimentary tray was very good. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Stayed here as we where having a tour of the Brewery, We were given a warm and friendly greeting and shown to our room promptly. The rooms was excellent and given that it was on a main cross roads the noise was very minimal and certainly didn't disturb us at night. We also had a Meal and Beer at night, both of which where excellent and reasonably priced.
Well decorated Lively bar Nice food
Green light on ceiling that can't be turned off means room glows green when trying to sleep. Can be quite noisy in the morning with traffic and brewery
Food Staff ( Very Friendly and helpful ) Character of the Building Own Brewery Cleanliness
I liked everything about the day. It was great to learn about the process of brewing and the lunch was superb. We stayed overnight and an evening meal which was excellent. I would recommend this day out for all ages as it is good fun and great value for money!
There was nothing I didn't like. Some people though might be concerned that the room is situated on a main road as it can be a little noisy although it didn't bother us.
Location was good for us as we were going to an auction in Stourbridge the next morning. The staff were friendly and efficient. Our waitress in the evening was still smiling and cheerful at 11 at night which must take some doing - even after my husband set fire to his menu with the candle on the table! The room was small but comfortable and very clean, as was the shower room. Nice toiletries provided, and bottles of sparking and still water in the bedroom as well as tea, coffee and biscuits. Food in the evening was fine, with a good choice of standards and specials. When we first arrived it seemed very hectic, but it was a Friday evening and it settled down to a good buzz. Obviously very popular with locals, presumably because of the choice of beers. Reasonable choice at breakfast.
Although the location worked for us, the pub is on a very busy junction and some could find it noisy at night. Car park is small but a space can be booked beforehand.
Location to station great Good beer
The staff when I arrived were very attentive nothing was too small. The food was delicious. I would like to stay there again if I am in the area. A good all round place to saty.
The food Choice for breakfast The atmosphere in the pub The quality of the fittings in the bathroom The staff
Being in a separate block to sleep and not having anyone onsite Creaky bed Location and size of the sink Small bedroom for the price Location
Ease of location, near to amenities, and a brilliant cooked breakfast in the morning
we stayed for two nights whilst doing the brew a beer experience. The staff both at the B&B, pub and brewery were excellent. Very accommodating and made for an enjoyable, relaxing atmosphere. Food was excellent and the whole place very clean.
Although it didnt present an issue for us, its worth noting that the rooms are above the pub bar so I wouldn't reccommend if you are looking for an early and silent night. That said, the noise wasn't excessive and didn't keep us up even though we went to bed before closing on one night. Just something to keep in mind.
+ Fantastic customer service. All staff members were very helpful, friendly and polite. + Very tidy and clean room! +Able to come and go as we pleased, as we had a separate door and key. + Comfy bed! + Delicious breakfast with great service + Tea/Coffee/Hot Chocolate & Water provided. + Wonderful, stress free stay, very pleased with the service I received. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
The friendliest staff, great food & a superb range of beers & ales to delight the palate, fantastic value for your hard earned money.
