-Really nice rooms with lovely lighting -Very good value for money -Very friendly barman -Tasty food available for decent prices -Only a 10/15 minute walk to Windsor Castle
Room too small too warm towels too small breakfast not warm too basic Location was good though
Most of it not value for money
It was ok ,for one nite
The pub provides dinner. The room has a fridge!
Small car park.
Wifi reception was good in room 4.
Building in need of repairs and painting. Water stain on the ceiling in our room and door wasn't plumb and had to be slammed to close.
Food, friendly staff, comfy beds, clean.
No checkout, just dropped keys off at side door. Room decor dated.
It is often difficult to find a hotel with car parking. The Windsor Trooper is very handy for travellers wanting to deliver a hire car at Heathrow.
Very much on your own, not continually hassled by staff, room and towels changed daily.
Noisy neighbours upstairs, two young children, unfortunately their stay coincided with ours.
The staff were really friendly and it was in a good location
Room was dirty, there was a pair of dirty socks hung on the back of the door, the flooring was lifting in the bathroom, the shower was full of black mould, the bed sloped backwards so much so we had to sleep upside down on the bed and in my children's room there was a huge brown patch on ceiling
Location within easy walking distance of Windsor shopping and Castle
Room barely big enough for four beds
The staffs are friendly and helpful. Their food is really good. It is very close to town center and walking distance to the castle.
The B&B is based next to their pub, so can be noisy in the evening. The facilities in the room is old but fairly clean for their age.
location, very clean rooms, good pub beneith the hotel
No lift, and parking tight
The meal was fine, staff great. Nice modern room and would stay again
No power point in bathroom . No directions to brekkie in morn...
The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
location close to town centre and surrounded by restuarants good facilities lovely room
Cleanliness of facilities were poor, room ventilation lacking. Bed was OK but hard to get a good night's sleep when everything else made you uncomfortable.
Clean and comfortable room with good shower. Entrance next to pub, so once you had your key, you did not have to go to the pub again
On third floor and a bit of a hike from the castle.
Car parking full by 5 pm.internet not working.broken shower.no fridge.
Good location, close to all the attractions but just far enough from the town centre for piece and quite. Liked the accommodation, nice that it was totally self contained, you could come and go as you want. Great full english...
The planes from Heathrow can be a litle loud if your not use to the noise.
Clean room Reasonable price Near to Attractions
Really nice to have a ground floor room on last night of month long trip. Suitcases really heavy by then! Nice, friendly staff. Accommodating. Great location. Easy to walk up to town but just on the edge of it so not so noisy or busy. Nice to have rooms off from pub. Convenience of pub for last night but the noise didn't carry over even with windows open. Also appreciate that they have a fan for the rooms. Have stayed there two hot summers in a row and the fan makes all the difference in comfort!
Excellent location. Competitive price/value for money. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds.
Bar closed at 11.00pm Packet milk in rooms.
We stayed two nights to attend a wedding. I got the train after work from London and it was an easy 10-15 minute walk from Windsor & Eton Central. My husband drove over after work and there was space to park our car. Handy as most of the roads around the pub seemed to be permit parking. The bathroom was modern and clean with a decent shower. We were also pleased that a fan had been provided as it was soooo hot (17/18 July 2014). The room also had iron & board, hairdryer, TV and free wifi. Breakfast was really good too.
We stayed on two incredibly hot July nights so we had the window open (as well as the fan on too) and had forgotten how close Windsor is to Heathrow. This isn't just the Windsor Trooper, you'll hear the planes in any part of Windsor and the early morning planes can wake you up.
Good location and nice staff, very friendly! Onsite parking, WiFi availability.
Room very tired in need of redecoration, quite dirty and no air con, was very hot and no way too cool down.
The location and staff the shower
The shower had mould
